Haha Pum, you just take everything out of context in these days, and then you don't even quote correctly

My brother-in-law lost his job, in which he was let go from a company who has yet to give him a reason why he got terminated (which pisses me) so he hired a lawyer to deal with this. To add to this story, he was the very first employee that was hired for that company, and now they wanna screw him over with this shit! But what's my concern now too is that my own brother hasn't found a job for over a year, and he's hurting really bad!

Kind of seeing someone right now! She's a thing of beauty, and we're not sure if we want to be a couple because were pretty good together as friends so far (which might be the better option............remember.........I said MIGHT)

Awwww, :-( Sorry to hear about your family. :-(

But OOOOOOOH! AWESOME GIRL! Glad you're getting some love.

Unemployed once again. Why do I keep going back to the music/entertainment industry for work. I don't know, it happens to everyone that works in it these days. (redundancy and temp work). Fuck you GFC and illegal downloading (and the industry that isnt doing enough to prevent it).Posted Image
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

sorry to hear that. unfortunately, that's what the music business is like and even worse and more unfortunately, that is what the job market generally is like in these days, especially regarding young people. a shame

I hope things look up for your brother-in-law inchem. I'm sick of hearing stories about employers that think it's their god given right to screw over the little people. I hope your brother gets what is owed to him. I hope he (and you, Mikl) find some work soon. The good news is the economy is a little better now than it was in, say 2009. It's still tough, though... If anything the past few years have proven, nothing is permanent. So something is bound to present itself on the horizon eventually!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Here in the States, Congress is getting more and more into anti-piracy. Job-creation and protection is a high priority right now, and whether or not those who pirate music and movies believe that the "corporations" aren't hurting, the fact is that they have lost immense amounts of profit because of piracy and it ends up affecting people like you.

I have always advocated a healthy balance, i.e., half downloads half legit purchases. People have disregarded this notion, and increasingly people are going to experience negative consequences because of it. The funny thing is that one of the rationales that people use when downloading music (myself included) is that corporations overcharge for artists' work, and they're being greedy. Now it's consumer greed that is directly contributing to a detriment to our economy.

To sum up, they say "If you keep downloading, this song will never come out !" and they think that it will convince people not to download.

If you enjoy working in the music industry, then find a regular dayjob just in case you lose the other job! It's kind of like that out here in L.A. my friend!

I am sorry about your job loss! Hope that opportunities will come your way!

IMO the industry is exhausted of its efforts to fight downloading. Apple's 'Cloud' won't help either!
