Defined a little more formally, "escape velocity" is the initial speed required to go from an initial point in a gravitational potential field to infinity with a residual velocity of zero, with all speeds and velocities measured with respect to the field

escape velocity promo vinyl arrived today! v sexy! freestyle dust logo only appears on the actual record on the center sticker. otherwise its one sided with the blank side having wavy lines etched into it, seems like each one is unique. although it doesnt look like normal etching, it seems like there was liquid plastic dripped on it while the record was still wet after being pressed....would be interesting to know.

its a funny insight into what a corporate mess record labels are.
on the center sticker it says. published by universal. the copywrite belongs to virgin. and all rights reserved EMI...and a freestyle dust logo for good measure!!

it is. cause CWU is their most underrated album!! CWU FTW!
Well, as it has been stated multiple times, that cover of Further in the other topic is very similar to the test video.
Due to all these similarities, I'm expecting samples from CWU in Further. It would make sense, seeing as The Boxer samples Electrobank from DYOH (album #2), and We Are The Night samples The Sunshine Underground from Surrender (album #3), so it would make sense that Further would sample something from CWU (album #4). My theories on the matter at least.
Graph o' Chemical:
1. Exit Planet Dust--|4. Come With Us-----|7. Further-----------|
2. Dig Your Own Hole-|5. Push The Button--|8. (epic album name)-|
3. Surrender---------|6. We Are The Night-|9. (epic album name)-|
In this graph we can clearly see that Chemical Brothers albums tend to sample previous albums horizontal to them on the chart (read in dull lecture style monotone).
Hmm, so if I follow that pattern that would mean CWU samples EPD stuff. I can't say that I've noticed anything overt though. I'm probably missing something obvious (I don't listen to CWU all that frequently, least favorite Chems album IMO), would anyone care to enlighten me if there are any EPD samples?

don't know if there are samples from EPD on CWU (EPD is my least favorite chems album - but even better than any prodigy stuff, haha). similarities are EPD are 3 letters. exactly like CWU.
Yeah, it's not great as far as Chemical albums go, but better than prodigy, I agree!
Hmm, maybe the hippie from the EPD cover is the guy in the starburst on the CWU album?

hahaha. You guys are too much, like those LOST theory people, seriously, lol! I hate to think what it's going to be like, say, a week before release.
Also it was pointed out a few years ago (by Bosco, I think, since he's a Come With Us enthusiast) that Come With Us has the fewest collaborations on par with Dig Your Own Hole. And since Further is a 100% Chemical Experience...
As far as samples. I am thinking more along the lines of signature sounds. You know - deep bass throttles, squiggles and the kaleidoscopic way these sounds are pieced together in a song. They are unmistakably chemical. I've referred to them here before as fingerprints and you can hear them from their first album up to We Are The Night - and I suspect their fingerprints will be all over Further, too.
