Last night was when the chems to DJed in my area. I started out the night by seeing kill bill (which was very strange in a bad way) after that I went to the Mezzanine (the club) and that took me about 18 million tries to find the damn street followed by a parking spot. I finally found the place, which was pretty much down an alley and there was a small line. The whole trip up to this point was a living hell but I was beating the odds (by not killing and of those annoying fucking homeless people who are trying to get made by darting out in the street so someone will run them over), so I go to the door and they're checking IDs. Being a reasonably good person I didn't have a fake one, if I wasn't 21 in a few months, I'd go out and find or make one this morning. I tried minor persuading which needless to say was like talking to a brick wall who deals with people like me a lot I'm guessing.

So there it is, my second attempt to see the chems failed, but at least this time I actually made it by the door, I could hear the bass from inside the club and the works. I cannot say I am mad (especially compared to when they played live here and I missed it because my friend) or even too shocked since I knew it was a 21+ club, but at least I know that I was there at the door with a ticket and a now half-full tank of gas. Could've been worse, I could've been back at home studying wondering, "what if I could've gotten in," and I answered that $20 question, "no chance in hell"

Damn Biff!!!! better luck next time. Well at least you won't feel guilty or anything since you made it to the door. at i think it's 20 dollars well spent. Anything better than sitting at home studying wondering, "what if I could've gotten in," ....

Biff, I read your story this morning. All I can say is I'm sorry that you couldn't get in, of all the people that went that night, I can say as a fellow Chems member that you deserved a spot on that dancefloor as much as the next person - but at least you tried. And that's a lot more than most people would do. Now *that's* some hardcore dedication!

I highly recommend for all folks under 21 to try and catch the Chems at a festival (ie Coachella... hint hint calling all California folks and brave road trippers from out-of-state) It's good people, good times and the atmosphere is fantastic!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

it's one of those places where they don't charge too much for tickets (I thought) but they get back by charging for drinks and they don't want people to come in who wont but their $4 beer
