Hey all!

Despite of i can't lay on any big events like Turnmills and for others that cant either i'd like to know what you all have done this time?

As for me i've been spending a great time together with some of my friends on a house party (a more calm one because we were celebrating together with kids, but also cool and funny). We had some funny games to play, did some poker and ate a lot of delicious food like different salads, meatballs, sausages, steaks and tons of selfmade -> Tiramisu (man i cannot see no food anymore).

Right before 12 o'clock we were counting down the seconds to new year and when it hit 12 we were hugging each other and clicking our glasses to 2007 with some champaign. Then we went out because the kids muchly longed for blowing up their fireworks and pyrothechnics and we wanted to see the hurly-burly outside as well. After that, the kids went to bed and we played some more poker while listening to several concerts broadcasted (among others a gig by U2 from 2003, awesome!!!) on tv and having snack after snack till i got a feeling like i was bursting. . .

Here some visual impressions:

Here we've been playing a game where you've got to dice a 6 then dressing yourself with these clothes and getting a knife and fork to be prepared for eating a bar of chocolate until another one's getting a 6...

Check my "Early New Years Wishes" thread, page 2, for a very long and detailed description of how I did my best to lower my life expectancy. Warning: there are a lot of large pictures that will absolutely murder non-broadband connections.

For New Year's Eve we didn't do much - we went out for a meal at a BBQ joint, then settled in for the evening with stash's mom, his sis and her husband Eric. We watched a couple of flicks and drank a bit. Our son stayed up til midnight which was a first for him on NYE. It was all very anti-climatic for him, but he was very excited to be the first person in the house to have the first pee of the New Year. Hearing him shout from the bathroom proclaiming this was quite amusing. X-D

With stash's mom (who decided to spend the night) and our son tucked safely into bed, stash and I proceeded to get utterly ripped. We may have wandered over to the neighbor's house but I really can't remember. The highlight of the evening was Jeanie's phone call and chatting a bit with mippio - transatlantic wastedness!

It was a relatively quiet evening at home but we'd sort of been partying since we celebrated our anniversary on Friday when my mom-in-law took our son for the next 24 hours. We had to keep it mellow since we were broke from the holidays, so we basically took a bus downtown, got wasted, froze our asses off, continued getting wasted, froze our asses off some more, tripped out on Christmas lights - then took a cab home where we proceeded to get even more wasted. Stayed up til 5:30 in the morning watching movies, listening to tunes and of course no night is complete without the Singles dvd and seeing if Surrender syncs up to anime. All very interesting but only if you're me and stash. It wasn't exciting, but it was nice and mellow and just the 2 of us. That's what anniversaries should be about...

No pics to share at the moment... though I should get the picture of my son hugging his Wii on Christmas morning.

A standard affair. Though I did engage in some electronic battle warfare to prepare for the package that arrived today... }:-)

Um, I'm a sober fellow. I enjoy partying with wasted types -- I can be just as wild, I like that. I get wonderful rushes just on my own. Anxiety feeds that. Ah a fine night..

post party: played FIFA 07 (on ps2) with some people and then watched some of season two of HOUSE until daylight
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

when we're high enough not to care that the plots are shit, yes, we do.

oh yeah, and only with the sound off and the Chems playing.

Anime is great to look at, but no fun at all to try and decipher.

Actually, that's the only way I'll watch most asian cinema... "Crouching Tiger, Victor-Charlie", "House of Flying Asians", Jet-Li's "Zero", "Kung-Fu Tussle", "Itchy the Killer"... can't stand the plots of asian films... except for Battle Royale.

Whatever synchs up to Surrender, mostly.

I've seen Akira somewhere around 6 times, in english, in japanese, with subtitles, without, and the plot still makes no sense to me. I like a little Cowboy Bebop late at night, and some Samurai Champloo. Like the Miyazaki 'toons.

The one we watched new years eve was Appleseed, and I'm wondering if it's some new version... I'd swear I'd seen it before, but this one looked like a weird mix of CGI and regular animation.

Of course, I might have just been hallucinating that it was CGI. That happens sometimes.

I really enjoyed Ghost In The Shell even though it's been a few years since I've seen it. The one scene that sticks out in my mind is the montage with the city and all the rain - that was really beautifully done. The animation with the reflections on the glass and wet streets was pure eye candy!

We might have to watch Appleseed again, with the sound on this time.

Surrender + anything + Whirly + 'stash = synchronicity

It seems to be an only in California thing. Or I've only been high enough while listening to Surrender in Cali.

And yes, they are wicked people to hang with.

We have some pretty rock-your-socks stuff here, too, usually. I think I just don't listen to the Chems when I'm high. And watch TV at the same time. I was tripping pretty hard to the Manchurian Candidate the other day.

First flick we ever did that with was Shrek, based on the old Wizard of Oz/Dark Side of the Moon thingy.

Last night I was so toasted it was ridiculous while drinking some very fine cognac with my best friend. Just tripping hard and feeling the burn throughout my whole body. Then went home, surfed the net, ate chips and continued to trip. heh. Was a little bleary-eyed at school this morn.

Next time I have some product (god knows when that will be), I must remember to Chems it up.
