Another question came to my mind when I was reading Whirly's link about DYOH. Why did the brothers always reject remix requests by Metallica? Sort of private dispute?

The Chems didn't even know who metallica were + it's not really the type of music they would remix, i mean, look at everything they've remixed before.
That would be cool if it was they're eyes! It would be a little personal touch from the chems to us :)

I would be keen on such a collab. Something completely different. And the chems are well known for their affinity to do something off the beaten tracks. But I like the fact Metallica was/is interested in them. Wanting someone do to a remix for oneself is a big honor in my eyes.

Late 80's there was a band in the UK called Gaye Bikers on Acid. To be honest best thing about them was the name. They recorded an album at Orinoco called Drill your own Hole. I used to have a copy, but some scumbag lifted it. Maybe the graffiti etc is all related to this recording....
