I thought I would make a post about this festival since the Chems are playing tomorrow. By using a bit of investigative surfing (after seeing the news section of thecharlatans.net) the chems set may be broadcast in some sort of way. I'm not sure if it's just the audio or video but it's still interesting to see. There are links to two pages below, I'm not sure if it's related to Benicassim or if this Heineken FIB is some other festival. Anyway, take a look and see.
PS. Anyone who can understand Spanish should have a look, I've had to use a bit of guesswork and not sure entirely what's going on ;-) .
Sunday 8th performers (?): http://www.emisiondi...ia=8&sesion=dia
All the artists (?): http://www.emisiondi...section=Galeria

this weeks nme had a review of the gig and a fair bit about the chems first of all the review said they haven't had a decent record in 5 years. and secondly it stated that tim burgess sang out of control with the chemical brothers. otherwise it said that the chems were good.

Oops, then again, NME isn't exactly known for it's journalistic integrity. I can't expect every 'critic' to be extremely well-versed (to the point of obsession like we are here :P ) when it comes to reviewing concerts and stuff, nor do I expect reviews to be written by only the most ardent of fans - but it would be nice if these critics at least did their homework beforehand, then ran the article by an editor before it goes to print.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

well they better sort out there reviewers, but some of them get it right. this is taken from their web site
After five long days and nights, BENICASSIM 2004 finally came to an end in the early hours of this morning.
.....The last regular day of the festival ended on Sunday night with Tim Burgess from The Charlatans joining old allies The Chemical Brothers onstage for a rendition of their collaboration ?Life Is Sweet?.
But the Sunday headliners had to make do without their other big-name Mancunian collaborators Bernard Sumner and Noel Gallagher for ?Out Of Control? and ?Setting Son?.......
