Have you heard of "The Tuss" ? It's a new artist on Rephlex (Aphex Twin's label) and it's been talked about a lot because many people think it's actually a new alias for Richard D James.

The band is said to be formed by Brian and Karen Tregaskin. But many hints prove that it's in fact Richard D James :

- Some tracks were heard in some Aphex Twin lives in 2005

- "Tuss" means erection in Cornwall slang (Aphex is from Cornwall)

- The Yamaha GX-1 was spotted on some of the tracks. Very few were built (less than ten), and Aphex Twin has one (so do John Paul Jones, Hans Zimmer and Stevie Wonder) and it costs more than $50,000

- The tracks themselves sound so Aphex Twin, they can't have been done by anyone else !

Richard D. James is a freaky quirky dude and somewhat a genius in his own right - it wouldn't surprise me if he had an alter ego!

The more I listen to the Tuss, the more I'm convinced that it's Aphex Twin :o

Absolutely brilliant music

I think it's good, but after all this analogue crap, I'm wishing Selected Ambient Works Vol. 3 would be released.

Ah, windowlicker. Almost got fired for showing the video at work.

And that's got me thinking about the Come to Daddy vid. That's one for respecting the elderly.

Yeah i was turned on to tuss a few months back over at another forum i read. It would'nt suprise me at all if this was another aphex alias it sounds like him a hel of a lot, if you have ever read an interview with him you dont now what is real and what is bullshit but that is what is so good about reading them, really funny, he says he has been involved with quite a few top ten hits that you would'nt know about id like to know what song's they are!

I think (but this has to be confirmed) that he produced Jordy's hit "Dur Dur d'être bébé"

Edit : after a bit of search, I'm not convinced anymore

I just started listening to Aphex Twin this week. I must say, James is amazing. He's really weird, but I like it. There's a lot of stuff I don't like and a lot of stuff I do like. I love the widowlicker video!

I remember when I was a little kid (back in 1999 or so) and when the video windowlicker came on I immediately turned it off it was so scary/shocking lol, nowadays I like the reason why they did the video that way. And The Tuss is awesome! Rushed Edge is great Last Rushup 10 is my favorite from that album. And the selected ambient works vol. 1 is also great, I always listen to that album when I study relaxes me in a good way! Very different but good music, thanks james
