This Bank Holiday Weekend is set for more madness, with the Error crew putting together yet another stonking line-up for 24th August Bank Holiday Sunday at Drift Bar, that’s packed full of home grown talent, tasty, low-slung beats and the inaugural good times that have become part of the furniture for Error events!

Leading the charge and popping his Error cherry… Simon Heartfield (Live)! Simon’s live set will no doubt cover a cross section of genres from electro, house, break beat and techno, with his infectious, itchy-rave sound!

Simon's musical lineage stretches back to the late 80's as founder member of electro noise terrorists Twelve 88 Cartel and later bass player with John Peel Session favourites The Psylons. By 1996 Simon was performing regularly at techno clubs like Geushky and Vurt. During this period Simon also collaborated with Surefoot on their acclaimed ‘Rucksack’ released, receiving support from the likes of Joel Mull and Carl Cox, he later when on to work with the legendary Sigue Sputnik. 2006 saw the release of Sublimate EP on Techment Records. This time also saw Simon as an active promoter and resident dj for the Downtown, Phase 2 and Binary Nation nights in Portsmouth whose guests included Billy Nasty, Umek and Ian Void. No doubt we will be hearing live tracks track's from Simons last studio album, ‘Permanent Way’ as part of a unique live set for Error. It is well known that every live set is totally unique to each and every performance, with Simon writing especially made new tracks whilst re-working some older ones in a mesh of stylish electronic madness!

We are also joined by the Gary Archer and Jay Knowles of Portsmouth’s ‘Wired’ club night. These boys are due to bring a wobbly selection of beats and effects ready to stun your eardrums! Gary is not only a technical wizard on the cdjs, but also brings both the Pioneer EFX and Korg Kaosilator to his impressive Zabiela like dj sets, whilst Jay is known for his passion of electronic music and great tune selection! In recent years these boys have also be responsible for track it down hit ‘Meat Spin’ on Wired Records, whilst locally hosting scrap yard parties and supporting Mr C!

We welcome and look forward to both Simon and the Wired boys at Error, joint by resident jocks The Cubists and Rogue State, who will be providing the perfect warm up and finale leaving the dance floor filled with late stayers as they captivate Drift Bar! This will be a belter!
