I think he was comparing the sound itself, not the music
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

I agree.. But I think we're on the topic of the sound still.... Or maybe not??

(note: I think Tweekend blows arse compared to every Chems album... less interesting)

As we are discussing engineering... yes, it is sound over song writing then. That's why I nominated those two.

(I would still only take Surrender, Tweekend and Leftism to a remote island)

When it comes to Crystal eth i think Vegas is far better than Tweek...

Leftism and Surrender kick butt.Period.No doubt about that. Jilted is excellent but it looses me in the middle somewhere. I would take Leftism, Surrender,CWU on a remote island.(Ibiza ;-) )

Hmm... I like Vegas of course, but most of the tracks sound too similar to me.

At least they all sound good, they could all sound the same and be terrible. Look at westlife.

No, with Vegas most of the songs got the same structure, with the only exceptions being "Trip like I do" and "Comin Back". Other songs like "Now is the time", "Keep hope alive" and "Busy child" all follow the same structure, they are not too different from each other except the vocal samples. A good song needs something that makes it distinguishable from the others.

The Tweekend tracks on the other hand are very different from each other. Just try to compare "Over the line" to "PHD" or "Roll back".

That doesn't make me less of a fan in my opinion. As chemicalfan pointed out, at least they all sound eually good.

Not only that.. they all have the same sound. Its like that pop "punk" rock bullshit genre. (that is not punk!!)
