I would like to make a list of all chemical tracks, remixed by the bros themselves, in order to be sure to find all of them. I don't consider "radio edit" or "extended version" as remixes.

Leave Home (Terror Drums)

Life Is Sweet (Remix 1)

Life Is Sweet (Remix 2)

Chico's Groove (Mix 2)

Not Another Drugstore (Planet Nine Mix)

Music: Response (Futureshock Main Response)

Under The Influence (Mix 2)

The Golden Path (Ewan Rave Hell Dub)

Get Yourself High (Switches Rely On Rub)

Did I miss some ?

Maboul59 - I think a few are incorrect.

Music: Response (Futureshock Main Response) is remixed by Futureshock. The Golden Path (Ewan Rave Hell Dub) is Ewan Pearson's dub and Get Yourself High (Switches Rely On Rub) is a different dub remix by Switch.

A good resource is www.discogs.com. Most listings usually have links to remixers, etc. for each track.

I can't think of any tracks the Brothers remixed themselves that you haven't already listed.

Does Enjoyed count as an OOC remix?

EBW3 is pretty different from both Under the Influence and Mix 2. EBW6 is a pretty mixed up version of Hoops.

He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Way back when the Brother's Gonna Work It Out mix CD came out, I spent several hours trying to research exactly who this "Planet Nine" was that remixed BRB. I eventually decided it was probably just a Chemical Brothers' remix.

I had never heard of Futureshock when their Music:Response remix came out, so I briefly figured Ed & Tom remixed themselves again with another crazy name. However, two minutes on discogs changed that.

Discogs is your friend!

I started finding Discogs quite messy and difficult to trawl through to find the album/single I wanted to look at but they've cleaned up the pages (one line for each release) so its a lot better nowadays. gotglint.com isn't up to date and sadly planet-dust.net seems to have disappeared so discogs is probably the most up to date site there is on Chems releases.

Damn!

Planetdust was a great link. Didn't know it was gone till now.

It had tons of info on the Chems from the 90's to the PTB era. It's almost like a wrecking ball just demolished a 'chemical' library!

As I said, I would like to be sure to have all of them. They remixed many songs as well as theirs have been remixed so many times that I give only interest to their self-remixes (apart from some exceptions...).

The name "Planet Nine" was probably given to the Not Another Drugstore remix because of Justin Warfield(who sings on NAD)'s first album, "My Field Trip To Planet 9".

Wow, I can't believe the planet-dust site is gone. It was my favorite resource for The Chemical Brothers' discography info. I haven't checked it in a while and didn't know it was gone until I read this thread.

I know the owner stopped updating it shortly after the release of Galvanize, but the site stayed up for a long time. It really had an awesome, thorough design. I guess I always assumed the webmaster was someone on the forum.

I was using that site long before I discovered discogs or signed up here. It will be missed.

Why are Snooprah, Diamond Sky and Studio K remixes? And what are the original songs? I don't think Snooprah is a remix of Harpoons.

Diamond Sky = Surrender

Studio K = Sunshine Underground

Snooprah = Harpoons

I contest they are self-made remixes. They use main melodies and rhythms from their own songs to create new songs which in my view is what makes a remix.

I could almost go on a limb and say EBW 6 is essentially an auto remix. It was originally Hoops and has similar elements but is different in its flavour.

EBW6 is officialy a Hoops remix but i don't see/hear the similarity between Studio K and Sunshine Underground. For Diamond Sky i have to take another good listen to give my opinion in that.

personally i'd think that track name with brackets after it specifying remix/mix = a different remix/mix of said track

and

track name with nothing after it = original and not a remix/mix

Just listen from 4 minutes on in Sunshine Underground and you will hear Studio K in it. About 1:30 into Diamond Sky you hear Surrender.

the same way we can hear 'sunshine underground' in 'we are the night' ;)
