listening now to the USA delivery///worth the wait. Another gemstone shining like a diamond. I went to the store in early june the first release date only to be sorely disappointed, then early july i went in again and was saddened yet again to see the album pushed back one more time. But now all is well. i wish the cd player in my car wasnt broke!

reluctantly, I went and played a round of some par 3 golf as my friend challenged me to a match; I put the disc on pause and here I am finishing up the disc - burst generator is classic chembro sonic jam - exactly what to expect on the latter tracks of the album; it has tons of inertia and that lov el ly shreiking feedback we have come to adore.
Okay, i am now replaying:
We are the night T2: i love the invasion of the little bright mites, as if they are tinkling up my back with an intriguing wane and wax-ing effect going on. I know you know what i am talking about. That song is sweetly creepy.
#3 all rights reserved: keeps with the creeps as the up/down scaling vox introduces us to a dark journey. The primal chaos is burning forward. It never stops. Thanks boys. New break bridge in the track now - vox stop and the big beat is complimented by stabs of synth giving way to fatter and somehow more digital sounding stacatto stabs. The vocal chorus comes back and we dance it out.
4 saturate: The beginning ascending melody brings me great anticipation of the song. creepy gives way to sunshine. Climb the ladder to melodic satisfaction in the slammy breakbeat chorus. That bass in the beginning had a very muscular, not flabby bottom. I love phat bass but it is probly overdone, this is a deep cutting low as if sculpted like a body builder would his bod.
5: Do it again: My head swings from side to side. I am not a huge fan of the beefy guy saying do it again but i think that it will grow. The chorus was so unexpected. I have never been a huge fan of the lead singles on chem discs but this one is better than galvanize, IMO. a friendly vibe in this song.
6) Das Speigel: Very accessible synth brass gives way to lovely plucking 2 note chords done on what must be ed or tom's guitar. This song has the 4/4 synth backbone that seems to remind me of some of the come with us tracks. Soft in palette and mood, oscillating flurries move into a lushy delay ending. I cant believe the track was nearly 6 minutes.
7> The salmon Dance: The tone of this rapper at first reminds me of gift of gab. Also the fact that he is talking on a somewhat educational subject is a parallel to G of G. The coolest part is without a doubt the break after the vocode computer salmon says "did you know". I thought the track was done and then he says I can go to Japan? and its just all around fun track. so we just had 2 lighthearted tracks in a row. what will follow?
8:Burst Generator: I mentioned this track earlier. Nice harmonic distortion. I wonder what they used in the studio for this one. Classic build. Oceanic. It seems to have layers that look like an almost calm ocean does. Love that high hat, or is it a snare? not the eighth note that introduces the changes but i think its a quarter note. Overall a delicate balance of colorful tones here. Title reminds me of Trinitone burst(or blast?) from stereolab. I cant wait to hear them play this at Sziget! Yeah I'm going all the way from LA to Budapest baby! Hope to see you there!
Ok. Im tired of typing. Im not gonna finish this now but im gonna keep listening.
Later.
