While listening to the Essential Selection yesterday, I happened to turn the radio on at the right time to hear a remix of Get Yourself High (I think by the Chems themselves). Click on the link below to launch the streaming player, and fast forward to approximately 2:20 (two hours 20 mins) and you'll be near the remix. A cool thing to listen to! :D

nice! I think you're right, probably is a chems remix, but has the formula of a normal second-person remix (the mixing around of the vocals). Since the didn't say it was remixed by another person that would probably indicate this is the 3rd (or somthing higher) cut of the song. Thanks for finding that! :D

actually i listened to it again (thanks to the drum machine style of ghetto recording), and it sounds like they say at the end "new re-(something) from the chemical brothers so maybe it is a ebw6 style deal (not as far off from the orig as ebw6 was to hoops though)

Oooo. So cool! Thanks for pointing us in the right direction. What I would do to hear this played at ear drum busting levels... on a dance floor... I really dig the vocal cut ups. I'm loving the harmonizing of the back up vocals.
Speaking of which, anyone in the US gonna be seeing the Chems do their dj mini tour? A few hours after I found out they're playing Audiotistic on Oct 18 (an hour away from me, in Los Angeles, traffic permitting of course) I got a wedding invite in the mail. It's the same evening as Audiotistic. It's quite a dilemma. I have to go to the wedding of a good friend, but I wouldn't want to miss the Chems, even though tix costs are really pushing the wallet. I wouldn't miss either event for the world. Since the Chems are headliners of the dance area, I know they won't go on til later so maybe I can swing both a wedding and a night out? Sometimes I hate being me. :? :(

I'd follow the Chems around like the Grateful Dead if I were a bit younger with a big budget, no job and a lot less to lose (including time and brain cells, teehee!) I wouldn't mind the 8 hour drive, I love road trips and I really dig the Bay Area. But my hinderances are rather expansive and for tix plus lodging plus fooddrinkspartyfavors and recovery time not to mention someone who will watch my son for 3 days... yikes. Maybe I'll win the lotto! Yeah, that's it!!
And even if you don't get in the door Biff, I'm sure you could sell your ticket. It's worth a shot and who knows, maybe the doorman would take a bribe. ;)

I did a little trick when listening to the confront your demons DJ set. I was half way done with it but had to leave. So next time I was online I didn't want to start over, not that it wasn't a great DJ set. So what I did was right click on the media part of the window (where you open the radio from) and selected properties. From there I copied the HTML of the windows media file and opened it in windows media player. Now that it was on Win Med, I had that progress bar, unlike when you get the page originally and it's in a web page. So now that I had the bar I scrolled to an hour or whatever it was that I was at. So you could try that with the Radio 1 w/get yourself high. I didn't have problems with there being no fast forward bar, but I think if you could open the radio 1 mix through windows player it would be easier since you keep having to click skip 5 min on the website one. The GYH remix is like 2hours and 21 minutes in.
