This is a good topic. Im not a big fan of the remix as i always tend to prefer the original song but it's interesting to hear someone else's idea of how a song could sound with there own style.

However even though these remixes are better than originals, it doesn't necessarily mean the originals suck (except for B.Spears & J.Timberlake).

The neoyorkino group congregated to more than 11.000 people in the copper dome Was the night of the 19 of March when the group The Strokes visited the City of Mexico for the second time. In an enclosure where almost 4 times occurred to appointment the number of people who in the previous occasion, the group made a musical route by its two discogrficas productions. The opener was The Sounds, who they initiated to 8:32 when the public continued filling the track of the Palace of Deportes. They initiated with?Like to lady, in order to continue with an extensive Seth who included his subjects?Dance with me, they?Seven days, ?Fall in love, its simple?Living in America, ?Fire, ?Hit me, ?Hope you?re happy now, ?Rock n roll, ?Good bye 70?s, ?S.o.u.d.s.? and to?Motherfucker. It was until the 9:48 that the lights extinguished and to the public rugi again as not very often it has been listened to in the copper dome. Pity of the sound that reigns in the Palace of Deportes, because the subjects that would follow next required of an impeccable sound equipment. Julian Casablancas and company took with?Automatic stop? The night as soon as it began, and the Strokes continued the rain of songs. Following with? The way it is, Casablancas presented/displayed of very short way?I can?t win. The communication with the public was little, limiting itself practically to thank for the answer between subject and subject. Thus, it at night came first hit?12:51. With this song the ground was swayed of the brincos of the public and before this reception, the vowel of the band said? You guys plows too fucking cool, great public, fucking one, soon to present/display?The modern age. The palace once again swayed when recognizing the multitude first agreed of?Hard to explain, after which Julian said?gracias, I love you, soon to present/display to?Whatever happenned. The public again rugi when recognizing?New York City cops. After this subject, they presented/displayed?Meet me in the bathroom? soon to continue with?Barely legal. End followed? The there are nonend, soon to drive crazy once again to the public with?Someday. People euphoric him threw all class of objects, up to one chamarra, that Casablancas took and asked of whom it was, soon to throw it to the public soon to announce again to?Reptilia. ?Make some fucking noise, I love you? it was the request of the singer to the thousands reunited there. The Strokes continued with?Under control, ?Soma, ?Clampdown, and?Trying your luck, before people recognized the most awaited subject of noche[?Last nite, only song that the public with the band sang. ?You guys plows fucking great? or was the goodbye of the Strokes before always taking leave like with?Take it leave it, song with which usually they close its concerts. As it is custom in them also, they did not do encore and the public will have to hope by one third visit of the Strokes to see more of them.

a good live concert.

in other news moby is back....(this are bad or good news?? :P )

Under pseudonym of Voodoo Child The genius of dances will sign new album like Voodoo Child, an alias that already had used in another one of their works. The next album of Moby will be born under the alias of Voodoo Child, denomination that used in 1996 for ' The End Is Everything'. The name of the disc, that will be on sale at the beginning of February, will be ' Baby Monkey' and according to its new project has declared Moby is?slo a pretty disc dances. ?Ha amused to make an album without any preoccupation of commercial type, it has said the genius of techno, and explains: ?no I hope to sell nothing. There is no singles and they are not going away to record videos. There will be no promotion either. The race of Richard Melville Hall, Moby is a nickname that put to him of small, been has dedicated completely to the experimentation and to the search of an identity within the sphere it dances. The original fusion of rates and sounds that east American does called the attention of the director of cinema David Linch (?Terciopelo Blue, ?Mulholland Road), who ordered the sound track to him of the series of television Twin Peaks. The subject that composed for the series comprised of its Go album, published in 1991 and was a full success in England. In his native country it began to receive the applause of the critic with Everything Is Wrong, in 1995. Since then, Moby has not let gain followers to his melodas. Perhaps for that reason, by the fatigue of the great tours, the interviews, the pressure of the sales? After tour of promotion of Play( i guess is 18), in 2002 Moby it decided to make a disc dances underground that it would publish under the pseudonym of Voodoo Child. Said and done, the result we will know it in few weeks.

To be precise, Silence is by Delerium, she contributed the vocals. Brilliant song.

Track: The Orb - From A Distance

Remix: Hybrid's Meadow Ladies Mix

Why: The original is just a cheesy dance track, but the remix blows the roof of your house. Uplifting, strong - my perfect 2004 summer track! Will be featured on RAAPB 2 as well! 8)

Track: New Order - Blue Monday

Remix: Hardfloor Remix

Why: It might be a classic, but Hardfloor totally changed it into something that still rocks the floor 9 years later. Respect.

Track: The Shamen - Transamazonia

Remix: Deep Dish No Doze Dub

Why: The original (beatmasters) mix isn't that bad, but the deep dish mixes are the sweetest icing on this tasty cake

Track: New Order - Confusion

Remix: Koma + Bones Mix

Why: Also with new recorded vocals. Wicked 8)

my personal faves are the chems remixes of the manics everything must go , and their remix of swatika eyes by primal scream though I prefer the non uk edit as it is far longer. Also last week i found that I had the remix of jailbird at home on tape and I think that is a really good mix as well.

PS. These are good remixes of good songs, not necessarily remixes that are better than the original songs (mainly talking about the original Chems music).

That's actually not a bad song (the original). The first time I heard it I had no idea who it was by - quite impressed, I was, to find that is was Britney Spears.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.
