Absolutely fantastic thread.

Coachella 2005 was brilliant for me. Crashing on Whirly and 'stash's hotel room floor. First Chems show. First time on E. 60 consecutive hours on a Greyhound bus to get there. Approximatley 20 hours of sleep over a 7 day stretch. Great start to my Chemical adventures.

Turnmills NYE 2005 - A life-changing, awe-inspiring experience. The details and memories others have posted in this thread have me grinning ear to ear. There was close to fifteen of us that met up at Wetherspoons and we absolutely owned the podiums. "What time is it?!?!?!"

(That night at The End that Jeanie referred to was on that trip too and I don't know if I've ever been more smashed than that night. Sitting down on the ground, back against the wall, still dancing. Complete memory loss. Wow!)

California - Forum meetup in Laguna Beach. Another great trip, great memories. That Josh Wink DJ set still ranks as one of the best I've ever been to. And I'd never before peed into a plastic cup in a full passenger van on the freeway at 2:30 AM. And helping Marsh find his hostel in Inglewood? Thank god I went along or I'm not sure he would still be around. What a laugh.

London/(Liverpool)/Amsterdam 2009 - Another legendary week. Chems at Fabric with Mips, M'Chebne and Co. Three days with Jeanie in Amsterdam. Hanging in the VIP section of Fabric with Tom and Ed, chatting about the new album and being sworn to secrecy by them (I never told a soul!) and bantering about football.

And all the crazy threads and laughs along the way. Buzzed Posting is both legendary and cringeworthy.

Congrats Wayno! :-D Pics please! :-D

And Yes Darkstar...awesome memories indeed.
The meet up in Laguna Beach was amazing. One of the best times i had in my life. I miss those days sometimes where i had the job & money to travel everywhere i want! Josh Wink was a very special night for me. To party with all those amazing people (and my first time on E...it will never quite be like the first time! I remember saying to whirly 'Look at the lights, they are so beautiful!' Hahahaha)
I remember you peeing in that bottle, because i also had to pee like a motherfucker! Remember? We got home after two hours and i RAN to the toilet! After i said 'that was the best pee i ever had' hahahaha!

Oh the memories!

I peed in that soft drink cup TWICE on the drive back. I've never seen a traffic jam on an eight-lane freeway at 2 AM before or since! And I have the bladder of a six-year-old girl with a urinary tract infection. My kidneys either filter at an extraordinary rate or they're not filtering anything and it just goes through.

I remember how happy you were on that first E trip (and who isn't?). It was back in the days when I saw lots of people try it for the first time but watching you enjoy was one of my favourite such experiences because you knew your music, you've seen the world, met a lot of people, but that night you were so in the moment it was spectacular. And Wink played 'Lil Louis' and his remix (newly out at the time) of Radiohead's 'Everything in its Right Place'. That tune started building right as I was coming up (and, at that point in time, I still hadn't done very much E in my lifetime) and when the stuttering voice comes and the beat drops, that's one of my best ever clubbing memories.

And I remember Mips complaining about $20 vodka-Red Bulls (which I could not have afforded at the time, I was so cash strapped as a student) and me being happy because my $20 of mud invested kept me happy all night long. Of course, another staple of staying with the amazing Hill Family was me melting into their couch after bong rips every night, becoming a semi-solid mass of ooze until the AM. And meeting Luna and Glyn. And wanting to join you guys on your cross-country roadtrip but I had to get back to work, unfortunately. And that big, ugly red van, the HMS Galvanize. Oh god, so many memories.

That drive back from Josh Wink was something else!! Epic traffic jam of ridiculous proportions. They were doing so much construction on the freeway (which was the cause of the jam) that we took that detour through Downey. Remember? Rough area, which is why we didn't stop the car full of us merry fuckwits so we could use a toilet at a gas station.

My favorite part of the drive home was zoning out with Jeanie listening to Don't Stop The Rock. Hanging out at home afterward was an amazing bonding experience with you all. It was one of my most favorite weekends of my life. Fond memory was everyone in the house being asleep except for mips and I swigging copious amounts of tea, talking sense and nonsense and everything inbetween as the sun was coming up... All this just makes me think how happy and lucky I am to have such amazing and wonderful people in my life, on and off teh interwebz. These are friends and memories that I can take with me through my lifetime. It's so incredible to think 2 people that make weird and insane electronic music are mostly responsible for that.

wow. this is such an awesome thread.
so some of the best moments of my life have been with people from this forum and that isn't an understatement. From Brixton academy shows with Jeanie and Chemd'up which was one of the best weekends ever.I'm privileaged to have been with Jeanie at her first chemicals show and it was such an amazing experience Turnmills every year we went was always an amazing experience especially the champagne spiller moment and the subsequent t-shirt. Nearly getting drowned to death a Rock werchter waiting for the chemicals to come on stage with Jeanie and Joslyn. Even bad memories like us getting crushed at Chemicals marley park concert. To amazing moments like summercase were tom chemical dropped down to us after they finished their set and gave us his rider of booze to enjoy. To all forum members i met from Jeanie, Iggy, chemd'up, Acid, Chemicalfan, Darkstarexodus,Sneaker, Joslyn thank you for the great times
