It's strange. There's a few songs that we got from http://www.hannathemovie.com that aren't on the soundtrack, or are different versions than the soundtrack ones. Like 'Erik Heller':



On the soundtrack it's Car Chase (Arp Worship), in a pretty altered form. Unlike Car Chase, this version's pretty stripped down, has this wild Stagger like break, and a beautiful spaced out ending.

But Car Chase has all sorts of added synths and layers going on, a neat guitar break and more dynamic drums.



The drum beat from this one's on Bahnhof Rumble, though a little more slowed down and less intense. Other than that this song's totally absent from the OST.

The other two (Container Park and Hanna vs Marissa) are for the most part exactly like their album counterparts, with a little more song to them. H v M has a bit longer outro and so does CP, different intro too.

I'm just curious why 'Hanna' didn't make it on the album, cause it totally rocks, and why 'Erik Heller' is so different. Maybe 'Hanna' was made for the website exclusively, and 'Erik Heller' is an early version of Car Chase (Arp Worship). Not sure. I don't know why they wouldn't be on the soundtrack though.

So, thoughts?

As I read, it's apparently the same for Tron Legacy : some tracks appear in the movie but do not appear on the OST.
I think they wanted to make the OST more intelligible and not put everthing...I don't know. Anyway, those need to be released !

Can't tell if it's just the loop, but Car Chase sounds a bit different there. It doesn't have the reverb that's on the clip WN posted either. Or maybe it does but I haven't gotten to that part of the loop yet.

By the way there's a little ring tone you can get if you text HANNA to 436287. If you 'like' the movie on facebook you get all kinds of Hanna updates and this ringtone was one of them. It's kinda goofy but it's cute and a fun lil' promo and you may want to have it, just to have!

@ Whirly: That's unreleased track "Hanna", not the alternate Car Chase which is on Erik Heller. They're both unchanged I think.

I'm noticing a ton of other changes though, there's an edit of Hanna's theme (vocal version), and alternates of Grimm's House and Special Ops. I'm recording all of it.

Nothing too exciting to report. There's a version of Quayside Synthesis (Moroccan Oasis) that's a little stripped down, I like it. And there's some really subtle changes with Hanna's Theme (Family Van) that are cool.
