I've only got Homework. I really want to hear Discovery before I get the new album. I loved Indo Silver Club so much. What's Discovery like and is Daft Club worth getting?
Thanks a lot
If you get daft club get the limited edtion dvd cause then u get that animation they did with Discovery playing over it, plus the cd you get with the Daft Club cd which is basically remixes and has one new track.
I really like cassius, hes part of the daftcrew.

Have to say I was disappointed with the daftclub cd. There are only a few good tracks on it imo, my favourite remix is probably the Demon mix of Face to face.
True, but Gonzales' cover version of Too Long is probably worth the cd alone, and "5555" is a great piece of anime so I wasn't particularly disappointed with the DVD-set...

Daft Club was cheating abit i thout as all but two tracks were made available to downlad after purchasing Discovery, if youve not got them tho i would recomend it for the demon mix, this intresting but almost completely unrelated basement jaxx remix and the nice cosmo vitelli mix.
The dvd is nice but lacking abit i thout, the videos for the singles were great but making a random story to complete the album was abit risky i thought.

I have to say: Each album sounds different than the last. And I'm not talking track-wise...I'm talking artist-wise. It's hard to really figure Daft Punk out. They always try something new. I wasn't a huge fan of the album myself, but it did have its moments. As for Discovery: It's an amazing album. I loved every second of it and I feel it deserves highest praise. Daft Club seems to be an issue with most fans. Period. It's a very bad CD. Not worth the money...
Then we have the new album. I did, alas, hear three tracks of it. I got them from a friend...and while I knew it wasn't even out yet, I was interested in hearing them. These were the first three tracks on the album. If this is indeed Daft Punk (which it sounds like it is), I am absolutely stunned by how bizarre the album is. The opeing track, frankly, reminds me way too much of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song. Not that it's bad, but it sounds too familar...then track 2, which was my favorite of the three, is about on par with some of the lesser tracks on, say, Air's 10,000 Hertz Legend. Track 3: The Single to soon be released is interesting for a while but it is far too repetitive. Also, as a note, none of the tracks sound complete. Whether or not that is intentional, the songs feel like half-finished masterpeices. If more time had been spent on them they would have likely turned out much different.
Those are just my two cents. I know I'm new to the board but as a long-time fan of the chemical brothers I felt it was time I joined.

shit, its songs like Prime time of your Life, television rules the nation, techonologic that reek of a complete lack of creativity and add daft punk to the already long list of new failed releases from credible dance artists.

This would have been, most likely, my second most anticipated release of the year - after the new chemical brothers album (which is absolutely outstanding), but after listening to it all... I don't know what to say. I didn't like it. I wish it were all a lie and that it isn't really the album.
That seems highly unlikely though... For once, sadly, I guess there's a Daft Punk CD I won't be buying. It's not worth it.

there you go, you can legally download HUMAN AFTER ALL, but for a small price. sucks for you guys who are bashing the album.
differences of opinions. the album is for you guys to figure out. you either like it or not. i love it. really ties up daft punk and their message and vision. you guys rippin on it, would be like me rippin on the new chem album, and why it couldve been better. dont get me wrong, ptb is fantastic, but if left right was removed, the album would be uber sweet. but thats my opinion

Im sure it will be good.
Is that site legal then and do the proceeds go towards daft? If people are paying for it illegally thats pathetic. You would be better downloading illegally not paying then buying it when it comes out. As you would be giving money to pirates.
