I just don't know how the fuck a Hitler Youth got elected the head of the Catholic Church, a man who's supposed to be 'Infallible'....

Catholic anti-Semitism among the higherups? Most reasonable answer.

I mean, if the guy had been indicted for fucking altar boys, would that have disqualified him?

No, it probably would've meant that, combined with his Hitler Youth past, he would've been selected on the first ballot, instead of the third.

i am really pissed off with his election, especially as there was a good chance to have a pope from africa now :x

he is a conservative, right-winged old cunt, and that he is the 8th german to be pope doesn't make the whole thing better in my eyes.

however, he is 78 and -may god be with him- we won't have him for 27 years -as we had JP2-... you know, the other 7 german popes were popes for 25 days to 4 years before going to... whereever

hello new pope. hello benedikt 16th. you won't change my world
love is all.

This is sickening.

Pope John Paul II took the it 2 steps foward, in some ways he was a freer thinker than his predecessors, but I think this new pope will take the Church 3 steps back into the dark ages.

Good luck, world. :?

If the Catholic prophecies that predicted an "evil pope" would be elected after John Paul II are true, I'll see you all back in this thread in 444 days for the elections. ;)
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

I can't remember the name of the office that Benny 15 held before he became pope, but it used to be called the Inquisition... they changed the name, but the office was the same.

it's funny (and a little scary) that this thread turned up again as today before getting up i was thinkin' of postin something into it... 8O

so, when ratzinger was elected pope benedikt 16th, the newspapers in germany reacted very different to each other on this message. BILD, who is like the Sun in UK, had a big frontpage saying "WE ARE POPE" as like "WE ARE CHAMPION" after football championship or whatever (so I am a pope in here ;-) ). The taz, a left-winged daily newspaper came with a totally black frontpage with only 3 words in white:

"oh my god"

exactly...
love is all.

oh my, you people are so dumb. clearly the pope bases his decisions on the bible what else. so if he is against gay marriage that is totally right according to his job and his beliefs. and i myself think its a good thing to have a conservative pope because the unlike christianity calls us to be we become worse and worse. so i dont see your problem people. if you write this stuff you dont believe anyways- why waste time to write things in here you have no clue about.

Ow.Now we are all dumb ;-)

Jcm , i understand you believe different things than the people here , but don't say there wating time writing about stuff they don't have a clue about.

just cause they have a different opinion doesn't mean they don't have any clue what they are saying.

ME , myself , i dont know a lot off stuff about the pope and politics. I know i should read papers more but i just dont. So i dont really have an opinion about this and that's why i keep my mouth shut to avoid saying something stupid.

When you learn how to write a coherent sentence, then you can come in here and call us dumb, you brain dead fucktard.

Jesus titty-fucking christ, how is it you're still alive? Seriously, do you have a special tube down your throat for when you forget to breath?
