Ugh, a new mini!

I'd have donated that to charity if I won that, I'd rather take the bus than drive one of those!

What's up with the new Mini's? My brother has one and he loves it. And it's not the most comfortable car for long trips, but it drives awesome. Not trying to be defensive at all, just want an opinion.

Cuz if I were in the market of getting a new car that wasn't a typical econo-box piece of crap like the one I already own, I'd seriously consider getting one of those!

They've taken a fantastic car, a real piece of history, and mangled it. It's awful.

Just like Britney covering 'I love rock & roll', taken a classic and ruined it.

the new mini isn't that bad.

if bmw hadn't bought rover then you could bet that the car would have turned out terrible. bmw might have stiched the british motor industry by taking rover taking the best parts of the company like the mini and then throwing the rest of the company away. but they did a good job of keeping the mini alive!!!

now a classic mini is cool, i had 2 of them. but i wouldn't like to drive one on a day to day basis. a new mini i could drive day to day

the classic mini is not very safe, unfortunately... and much too small for me. plus, the motor is not too good, too many breakdowns...

the new mini's design is not as sweet as the classic one's was. but it is a very safe car, enough room for my size and no problems...
love is all.

the classic mini was not very safe, but bloody bulletproof. i had my breaks fail all the time, the slave cyliders would always pop and the only thing the foot break would do was piss break fluid on the floor. i once went round with the hand break not working for months until mr policeman took a dim view of my car. i had the engine mounts break and when i pulled away the engine lept out and smash the carburetor. i had a bolt come of the air filter and ended up in the combustion chamber!! i had a fire with my wire loom. but the car was so easy to fix and get back on the road, taught me alot about cars!!! i ran my first mini right into the ground, i fookin loved that car!!!

What I like about the new Mini is the design, I like the dash, I like the controls, I like the sporty dual tone interior which has a retro feel to it. It is also one of the most structurally sound vehicles on the road, thanks to BMW. The thing just hugs corners and performs well. Of course nothing can beat a classic if only the old Mini was somewhat reliable and remotely safe.

Plus they are so cute!! :P
