I'm wondering what everybody's favourite CB's song is. I just remembered that it'll be 10 years in December since I bought my first CB cd, brothers gonna work it out. I was only 14 but that record rocked my world. I got it because I was looking for the CB's remix of "Everything Must Go" by the manics. Ten years later, I'm just listening to WATN (the song) right now...seriously, my favourite CB track of all time. I remember when I heard it first it was a revelation. It snaps, crackles and pops in all the right places - it really is a beautiful piece of music, very grandiose, it has a kind of symphonic feel to it almost! It has the capacity to cheer me up every time I listen to it.

I always have such a hard time doing a "top 5 Chemical Brothers songs" or answering the "what's your favorite Chemical Brothers album?" question. And I usually don't take part in those types of threads because it's just so hard to narrow everything down and my mind changes and all that.
But I'm glad you brought up this thread pushpop. Because I was thinking about this the other day. And it's good to see you around again, too. :)
For me my favorite Chemical Brothers song (and favorite song in the universe, period) is The Private Psychadelic Reel. I could write a 1000 word post on what that song means to me, but I think for now I'll keep most those personal anecdotes and memories and other "stories" and things to myself this time. But... to me if heaven and earth and the galaxies beyond could be personified in song, that song would be The Reel. I never grow tired of it, after all the years and all the listens.
That's not to say there aren't a bunch of other Chemical Brothers songs I love just about as much, or that the Chems haven't or cannot top it. I think, for me, they came awfully damn close... like *marvelously* close, with Burst Generator. I think it's some of the finest work they've done to date. It's collosal in that it lifts off into the stratosphere, makes the heart race as you can feel this sort of storm raging in the blood stream. And these are the same feelings I get with what I consider their other masterpiece. So yeah, Burst Generator is like the sister song to the Reel, for me anyway.
Damn. That's 2 songs isn't it?
I am so bad at these kinds of questions!

All of them! But depends on the mood!
Just recently, they did a Top 20 chemical brothers show at a radio show, and the fans voted for their favorites. And the mood that I was in at the time, I chose 'Chemical Beats' as my top track. But when the show was over and votes were counted, the track landed at number 6#
Not bad for a track that came from their first album!. And kudos to the radio host for the shout-out!
