I haven't heard Don't Think yet so I have no opinion right now as to whether I feel it would have been better suited for Further.

But I was wondering the same thing about Horse Power earlier today as I was giving Further (yet) another go. Horse Power is the section of Further that feels like it flows through the more turbulent waters of the musical journey. It's strange because I don't feel Horse Power necessarily breaks the stream of the album - mainly because it's mixed in there so superbly. But it is different in feel and structure than the other songs. It sort of reminds me of older Chems (post Come With Us). I guess if I had to compare it to another song on Further it would be most like Escape Velocity. But I don't know for sure yet. I'm still in the process of digesting Further.

I definitely feel the same about this sounding like an EBW. I was talking with Jack's Revenge about this before earlier this week before I had listened to Further, and he was saying Horse Power is a dirty track and the first thing that popped into my mind was EBW9, which is (IMO of course) the Chemicals at their very darkest.

From the first (and only at this point) listen to the Further visual experience I had the same idea. The album has a very 60s psychedelic feel to it. Even dancefloor pleaser Escape Velocity has a that vibe. But Horse Power is indeed a stranger in the list. It's so of this time and a dark techno track in the likes of (as Whirly said) EBW 9 and Sniper. But also the film is strange in between the girl (is that Caroline?) walking om the streets between the typical English citizens and flying with her boyfriend through the air. What is that galopping horse doing there?
More of my thoughts when I get the cd and dvd friday and listen and watch it in better quality on a proper system.

edit: I put in the quote because my opion slides to the next page

Actually, I think it could have been made in the 60's. As far as I know, the Chhems use mostly old machines.

Oh my god, mx!! I was wondering why that horsepower image seemed so familiar and I couldn't put my finger on it - and you nailed it for me exactly! Way to go with spotting that and connecting the dots!!

OMG Don't Think is AWESOME ! They should have put it on Further, I think between K + D + B and Wonders Of The Deep !

One of their best B-Sides (shame it's a b-side) ever !

I can't wait to hear this! When I heard this for the first time on the Coachella recording, my head instantly started bobbing when the beat in it drops.
So excited! Just have to wait 1.5 weeks for iTunes to finally release the album.

the inlay is beautiful especially the very middle which opens up ala prodigys fat of the land.

in the linear notes it says: "recorded at rowlands audio research" i lold.

After a few listens, I'd say that Don't Think sounds a little bit like disco.
