ITV's The Chase, a quiz show.

Question: What electronic band released the song "hey boy, hey girl?"
Answer: Kraftwerk

WRONG!

You know you've made it when you appear in a question on a Jeopardy-type quiz show!

I find the Chemical/Kraftwerk mix up kind of flattering, actually. :)

Elektrobank in my car. Playing through a standard Ford cassette player with Dolby B Noise Reduction and Chrome II technology to reduce that hiss.

Well if you didn't spot the Chems when you were playing them in your own car, that would have to be a particularly ropey Ford cassette player...

So... the car's made of fans and toy frogs and origami? Typically I'd buy the car purely because of the song used in the commercial* but I think I'll keep my money this time.

*serious though, I want a Nissan purely because they've used Hoops and Right Here Right Now in commercials.

So, my household have become fanboys of Brian Cranston because of Breaking Bad, so we have been doing some Malcolm In The Middle marathons as of late.

Anyway, this humorous scene - check it out at around 5:40.

Yup, thats been mentioned in here before. I remember seeing that clip a long time ago. I was sitting down to a Sunday Night Dinner with my family. We left the T.V. on in the other room which had FOX on (most likely was watching a football game earlier that day). Anyway, in the middle of dinner I could here the song "Denmark" and I darted for the room with the T.V. on, and to my amusement I saw that clip you posted.

Malcolm in the Middle is pretty funny, minus Malcolm.

Went to a gig last night with Jeremy Ohlander and Fehrplay of the "Pryda Friends" label.

About a third of the way through the high-energy set, I hear "JUST GET YOURSELF HIGH!"

I smiled--it made my night. They didn't play the track, but damn did they use that bit well--much like the Brothers used it during some of their tours to transition nicely into HBHG. Fantastic.

At the risk of sounding a little...tetchy, does hearing songs on the radio really count? It's bound to happen! innit.

^Depends on what country you're in! In the States it's incredibly rare. I've literally only ever heard Let Forever Be, there's a local alt-rock college radio station that likes to play it now and then.

Ok, if you're listening to 6 Music or some other similar UK music station...

Yeah, it's not often the Chemical Brothers get a lot of airtime here (Southern California, Los Angeles and Orange County) on commercial radio.

A few years back on Saturday nights there used to be a dj that played electronic music on the local-ish alt rock station and whenever I listened, I did hear the Chems. But it has been ages.

I still listen to commercial radio every now and again (usually in my car, on short trips to the store or whatever) just to get a feel for what's being played out but it has seriously been ages upon ages since I heard the Chemical Brothers being played.
