I really like that version of TPWHYN. It is a total different kind of sadness/emotion that evoked this version. a more empty feel. I think i need to hear it a few more times before i can describe it clearly. too bad it is so short! I would love to hear the full version of it!

The mix as a whole was great! The most emotional and trippy tracks throughout their carreer in one mix. i think they made a statement: "we are so much more than a dance act". The majority of the public thinks of HBHG, do it again or galvanize when they think of the chemical brothers, but their music is so much more!! I think everyone who takes music seriously will admit that they totally proved this statement with this amazing showcase of wonderful songs.

You've just summed up why I love their music so much.

this is exciting indeed, but why do all toms mixes have to be in bloody m4a? his psytronik one was the same.

my creative zen doesnt recognise m4a. grumble.

anyway, lookin forward to giving this a spin (whern ive converted it).

You were there, do you think he was miming it? I thought this had to be mixed by the Chems but now I'm not so sure.

Also, did anyone remember that there was going to be a vinyl giveaway with the free mix? This is from the News section:

Quote

In addition, you will also then be automatically registered for a give-away of some super rare copies of the promotional 'Velodrome' single vinyl!

This is pretty cool, and even though I know that no one from the forum ever wins these giveaways, I've got my fingers crossed. Never got a copy when they were first sold.

Maybe he let the mix play in its entirety at some point?

I liked it, really simple but effective. no point messing about with loads of crazy transitions , i guess its just a showcase for the chill bits.

anyone think the title is referring to when they are sick of playing all the bangers like errr... Out of control.

maybe its just me but that mix of "Pills" reminded me of bits of "Vienna" by Ultravox.

Anyway, its good.

Wow, good find. So Boggy pressed the play button that night? Or his mix is now released. Didn't anybody hear that edit of TPWHYN that night?
