Hello everybody!

Yes, it's me! I'm still alive!
Since i am no longer on Facebook i lost contact with most of you.

So, what is the girl that once was the biggest addict to this forum up to?

Well, still loving music offcourse. Yesterday, while me and my boyfriend were driving somewhere, i introduced him to some old scool chems (although he knows even more about music than i do!). Currently listening a lot to Elbow, Nick Drake, Evil Nine, Rodriguez (anybody seen 'searching for sugar man'? It's great!).

I'm working at ehm, quite corporate company, a big Dutch bank. Receptiondesk, event coordination, etc. Besides that i'm setting up a workshop for young models that just got scouted, to introduce them to the modelling world and share my knowledge about this industry to prepare them a little bit for the rollercoaster they are about to experience. For those of you who remember my posts from Japan, Paris, London, Sydney, New York....that period in my life is now long gone, i'm living a good, happy life but no more modelling, and no more travelling.

Besdides that i met the love of my life, i'm very happy with him and yes folks; this is The One. I'm a very luck and happy girl.

So, all is good, VERY good, in Jeanie land.
Would love to hear how my chemical friends are doing. Out of sight, but for sure not out of heart.

Lots of love,

Jeanie

Oh Jeanie. How I miss you so.

Nothing but warmth and love for you, and I'm extraordinarily happy that you've managed to carve out a fantastic place for yourself!!!

Lawlz! I just typed the e harmony for shits and giggles!

btw, I did online dating once...and it took me 20 minutes to quit!

Actually a friend of mine (had a crush since 3rd grade, but she hated me, and haven't seen since 1997) surfaces to land, and wants to hang out!

Jeanie, gone but not forgotten...at least from the vets. I think of us took your travel position on the board. and as for Evil Nine ;)
fan here since 2005

inchem, hopefully she's not flat like in third grade. You still have to beware the cooties, though they are more fun now.

Oh Jeanie Beanie! I am so glad you are so happy in love and all is well in Jeanie Land. It is hard for you to be even more lovely than you already are, inside and out. But I bet love looks amazing (a-maaaaaa-zing!) on you, dahling! ;) You are missed but I am so glad you stopped by!

Right now I have a houseguest, Nicole. Some of you on my Facebook might have noticed we have been tagging the hell out of each other lately, haha. Anyway, to give a little background, we both met years ago on the Chemical Brothers mailing list. We got in a sort of written altercation and decided to take our differences off the list, email to email. Eventually after a few months we exchanged phone numbers and ran up our phone bills talking at all hours. Over time she became one of my closest friends even though we still hadn't met face to face. After a few years, she flew out to California (she is from Massachusetts). She visits every 2 to 3 years or so and this is her fourth visit. Nicole leaves for home today, but she will be back soon.

So here we are, well over a decade later, watching Don't Think and I can't stop marveling at how incredible it is that I have this friendship with someone I met by complete chance, all because of these two guys named Tom and Ed.

How cool is that?
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Great story, Whirly, it's amazing how friendships can come from unexpected places and it seems Brothers do that quite often to people.
Jeanie, nice to see you back, it would be nice to see you here more often Posted Image
Inchems, thanks, do your bucket list, wont be disappointed :D

Along with going to Coachella this year I will be attending the pitchfork music festival to see Bjork once again. Not thrilled about the venue, but Bjork doesn't come around too often, and I can't say no. It helps that the festival is located in my backyard.

@Whirls: You're incredibly hard to get along with. I'm surprised. :-P

@Bosco: I'm still jealous you're going to Coachella--I would thoroughly enjoy the trip, all things considered.

A little anxious about upcoming deadlines, and I'm unsure of when they are. This is a problem. Yikes.

Chems denied at the Grammys.

Skrillex takes the gold.

LOL

This is sort of like a no-lose situation. The Chems not winning a Grammy doesn't mean anything--the awards are a joke. But if the Chems won, recognition never hurts. ;-)

I've moved into a new room in my apartment--unfortunately, the previous occupants of my room had a dog and they failed to mention the dog pissed 3 times in this room. They're also refusing to pay for a rug their dog pissed on. LAME!

Love for you all. ;-)

Ugh. Of course skrillex won. Just to piss me off personally.I am happy for GOTYE for cleaning up though. I'm not really a fan but he is from Melbourne Australia. The fact recording it in his fathers shed out of town and getting it to this scale pretty crazy. The last aussie to win something that scale was Olivia Newton John in the 70s "LOL". Yes even bands like AC/DC who may've made a bigger cultural influence may've been dissed too as far as Im aware.

Whirly: that friendship sounds amazing.
Pooter: Sue, you're a legal type.
Jeanie: dont be a stranger on here
inchem: dont give up hope just keep on truckin'
Bosco: Stop bragging your lavish lifestyle. (Im just jealous)
me: I'll come back to you.
Anyone else: hi.

Waaaaaaay too small of an amount to go to court over.

Situation has been resolved. I win. ;-)

I was coming up with some creative ways to strong-arm, though. Didn't have to resort to that, thankfully enough.

In other news--scary shit that the U.S. government can do when it comes to surveillance these days.

Here's the trailer for the new Michel Gondry movie :

It looks amazing ! Pure Gondry like in the old days when he was doing music videos. And it's also his first 100% french movie.
