We get patdowns and detectors at many clubs here. Concerts is usually just a thorough patdown (which accomplishes nothing really, except maybe to screen for guns).

Can't wait to get this disc spinning. Since their Glasto set a few years back things will never be the same again, unless they decide to tour the states with their new tracks!

And, yeah, the U.S. sucks when it comes to security. At Coachella, there's no ins and outs, they pat you down and make you walk through a metal detector. When I went to Summercase in Spain, you could go in and out, there was a completely lax policy about the place, and everything was very chill.
I can only hope that someday this place will chill the fuck out.
And the U.S. also sucks when it comes to white girls taking ecstasy, ruining it for the rest of those who just want to have a good time.
