As it's the last week for Lost, I thought I'd pull this one out of the crypt....

Jakob just said "You should get your friends...we're very close to the end, Hugo"

I'm glad things are being wound up at long last...

My husband put it best. He said LOST is like paying off a car. Once you're in, you're in it for the long haul. After a while, there's an obligation to tune in. The series finale will be like finally fuckin paying your car off after what feels like ages!

We were going to have a LOST luau party for the season finale but we're pretty much the only people we know that are into the show and tune in every week. We've been re-watching all the seasons, actually because our son is into it now (he was too young to get it when we first started watching). It's been interesting seeing how it all ties in but I don't know if all this alleviates the overall sense of confusion this show seems to bring.

It'll be interesting to see how it all pans on on Sunday.

I wonder what I'm going to do with my Tuesday evenings, now...

That is bang on....it's a pity that it's essentially a write off on the day of final payment though...I might get the series to watch again in the future but there's a lot of it I'll skip past...

I was gonna do that but I'm ahead of a lot of my friends...many have seen up to last season but as it moved to Thurdsays this year they've missed loads...so it's me and one friend and a lot of snacks!

....sums up everything I think about LOST. I loved the first couple of seasons but I never could get the time to sit down and watch the rest but when I did I had NO IDEA what was going on. People are back home, in the past, on the island, flashbacks.... just insane! I couldn't keep up because there where too many characters... a bit like HERO's... never jump in randomly on that show either! The last episode will be here on Wednesday and I'll probably make the effort to watch it just to see how the hell it ends and why the hell they are there in the first place!!

Oh and another thing that was "WTF" was the terrible Australian accents during the flashbacks... it makes me cringe, except for Claire who really is a aussie.
its a little early but thanks anyway

LOL--I thought she was dead too! Honestly, I totally forgot about her when she showed up again this season!

Anyways, I am pretty sad that the show is ending. In my opinion, this show is brilliant! I've loved the last few episodes, feeling ever more curious about what relevance the flash-sideways have.
I'm pretty sure my mind is going to be blown on Sunday. Me =

Finally knowing the origin of the smoke monster is really excellent too! And I got to see Alex again last episode! *Happy Happy*

what they died for was amazing. for me it's on par with the oceanic 815 landing at the end of S6E1. I was ecstatic with what happened with Jack this last episode but at the same time the fact it's going to end after this upcoming episode soon dawned on me...

over the past 6 years i've watched this program every episode at a time and even though it has to end, i'm going to be well gutted when it happens. Jack and Lockes awesomeness, hurleys happy-go-lucky attitude and movie/comic book referencing and last but not least sawyers nicknames!!! it's one of, if not the best television series I've ever seen and i could quite happily watch it from beginning to end again.. Not to mention the soundtracks either.

The musical pieces as well are just... well... EPIC

I've heard that each character has their own theme song on the show--I never realized that! I will have to listen more closely when I inevitably watch the whole series over again.

My Lost experence is fairly differnet than most...

When the final season began to air, I decided to just start watching it. What the heck, right? I'd seen little if any of anything prior to. My grandma had been watching Lost ever since the first episode, and had I not been 8 years old at the time I probably would have watched it along with her. It's a good show, and I've found that simply jumping in at the end, while I lose some excitement in not being caught up the mystery, is actually quite fun: Some crazy s*** might happen, and I can go 'mmmm, intruiging', where a Lost enthusiast (like my grandma) would be on the edge of their seat screaming 'WHAT? WHAT?! WHAT?!?' (when the next episode preview with the Willy Wonka song aired, my grandma was raving about it for days). It's a great, intellegent and engaging story, but I'm not overly involved in it. Pretty nice, actually.

That being said, I am looking forward to the 4 1/2 hours of lost on Sunday, where the entire story line of the show will be reviewed. So finally I'll fill in the holes I have concerning Lost and be able to fully appreciate the 2 1/2 hour long final episode. And once the series is over my grandma plans to buy every season, so afterwards I'll be going back and watching it all.

Sweet!! I was just watching 'What they died for' again and saw during the break that Sky1 here in Ireland & the UK are showing the finale tonight at 05:00. I'm seriously happy with this news, means I'll be watching it at the same time as you guys in the states, who want's to have an online Lost party?!

am i getting up at 5am, hell yes!!! but thats to go to work. i'll watch lost on friday. although i'm a bit obsessed with it. i normally watch most episodes twice, listen to abc podcast and tune in to sky one's lost initiative. i cant wait to see the back of this most annoying tv program ever made. if season 5 time travelling 'we are making it up as we are going' wasn't hard enough to stomach. then season 6 lack of answers is killing me.

is there light at the end of the tunnel? yes, and the smoke moster just popped out of it!

We're getting ready to settle in to the series finale extravaganza!! It starts in 20 minutes with a 2 hours long re-cap episode. Then from there on out until 11:30 this evening, it's the end of an era. O-vah. Done. The car will finally be paid off, haha!

hehe, I've been avoiding LOST forums because I don't want to subject myself with spoilers. I figure I'll check them out tomorrow once the dust has settled.

Good call on not posting anything. That reminds me not to say anything that might give something away! I'm pretty sure other parts of the world are a day or 2 behind us with the episodes, although I'm not sure about the finale.

Well now, off to bed for an hour now before I have to get up for work.
That was a good finale, I'm happy with it. Can't say it was anything amazing but glad to finally have an end to it. And it really was an end, no open end for a sequel, no need for a spin-off and all tied up in a strange little way.

The final payment has been made on the vehicle and now I'm free of the burden of this debt!

On a similar note, I really did not feel I would watch the series again but, having watched the end today, I think now that I will after the summer.
