Except for the profoundly stupid lyrics it quite OK. practically it is a IMD all over again + some elements of trap/dubstep.

That's a pretty fair summation. This may sound perverse but once you get over the disappointment of it not being great, then you can start to enjoy the thing. It's one of those albums which I could put on really loud on a Saturday morning and enjoy waking the neighbours with.

A couple of tracks stand out for me; 'Destroy' which for some reason reminds me of Stakker Humanoid's "Humanoid", and sounds like it could have been a follow up single to Everybody In The Place (apart from the 'trap' bit at the end). And 'Beyond The Death Ray'; just a nice tune. The lack of cod-angry vocals is a welcome relief too. I don't want to know if they nicked this tune from somewhere else!

On the other hand 'Ibiza' sounds like a joke in all the wrong ways. it sounds like a skit that Harry Enfield or SNL might do to take the piss out of DJs and The Prodigy. Just horrible to listen to. I really hope this collab with Sleaford Mods isn't an indicator of what Leftfield's Sleaford collab will sound like.

What a huge disappointment this album is... The bulk of good ideas is drowned in "we like to sound mean" beats, pointless yelling, plain noise and stupid "lyrics". Aside from the already (good to alright)released singles or tracks, Beyond the deathray seems to be the only track on it which stands out for me and that shows what Liam could be capabale of if he lost his dusty bad-ass attitude that even feels somewhat factitious these days.

This stinker lacks creativity and I'm struggling with myself whether to buy this one or not... Maybe I can be convinced when there's a reasonable discount someday.

Roadbloax, Medicine, Rhythm Bomb (oh my, what a dull name) were quite ok.
Get your fight on starts off with a nice guitar riff. But when the recycled Hospital beat kicks in it mostly turns into a self-mockering joke. Ibiza is downright ridiculous from the get go and must be one their worst tunes ever. It also bears in parts some resemblance to Piranha as lots of the tracks on the album seem to have similiarities with previous a and b-side material.

That wouldn't even be much of an issue if the majority of those songs were at least interesting rather than just serving the "mean" and "nasty" theme of the Prodigy.

P.S. Why they've decided for Wall of death as a closer just beats me.

Just to be sure, I listened to Invaders Must Die again, since in my head, this new album is "Invaders Must Die, but worse". And IMD is way, way better than this ! In my mind, it was just an ok album on which I liked a few songs, but I realise it's an excellent album on which I only dislike a couple of tracks. The Day Is My Enemy is garbage compared to Invaders Must Die. It feels unfinished, unpolished, rushed, stupid, recycled and boring.

Yes, that's the way I look at it too at the moment. Invaders Must Die is definately more refined, on point, has more variety and doesn't feel like a one hour long aggressive song. I miss accentuations and nuances. Most of the songs have the same level of energy which after a while gets really tedious. Moreover, lots of the songs feel like b-sides/ standalones Liam came up with over the years such as Who U Foolin, Back 2 School or Mescaline. Stuff that is alright but not great either.

The album went straight into the UK album charts at No 1 yesterday. If anyone still wants to listen to a stream (not itunes) click HERE. Or listen to Eddy Temple Morris kissing Liam and Keiths asses HERE whilst playing the album.

Also I think I've found someone else using this preset thingy, with less stuff added to it than Prodigy's version, and it's on a film soundtrack. See Now Playing.
