Except for the profoundly stupid lyrics it quite OK. practically it is a IMD all over again + some elements of trap/dubstep.
That's a pretty fair summation. This may sound perverse but once you get over the disappointment of it not being great, then you can start to enjoy the thing. It's one of those albums which I could put on really loud on a Saturday morning and enjoy waking the neighbours with.
A couple of tracks stand out for me; 'Destroy' which for some reason reminds me of Stakker Humanoid's "Humanoid", and sounds like it could have been a follow up single to Everybody In The Place (apart from the 'trap' bit at the end). And 'Beyond The Death Ray'; just a nice tune. The lack of cod-angry vocals is a welcome relief too. I don't want to know if they nicked this tune from somewhere else!
On the other hand 'Ibiza' sounds like a joke in all the wrong ways. it sounds like a skit that Harry Enfield or SNL might do to take the piss out of DJs and The Prodigy. Just horrible to listen to. I really hope this collab with Sleaford Mods isn't an indicator of what Leftfield's Sleaford collab will sound like.
