you always try to tout tickets at the gig. no doubt some one will be selling them for a premium.

I was the same iguana, I'm looking at Friday now, still tickets available for then. I'm going for seating I think, it was better than standing last time.

i bet 20% of the tickets have gone to people touting on ebay. it fuckin pisses me off that people buy the tickets, have no intention of going to the gig. just looking for a quick buck of some mug }:-@ }:-@

Internet takes scalping to a whole new level. Way back when, before the crackdowns, there were ticket agencies or scalpers that would buy a load of tickets, then jack up prices sometimes up to uber% the going rate. It really sucks for the people that want to go, but can't get tickets. It sucks just as bad for people who can get a ticket but end up getting screwed in the wallet. Happened to me once, back in 1993. I paid $120 for a $30 ticket (that was a lotta lotta money back then) and the seats were shit. The map the agency showed me was screwey, and when I got to the venue I wanted to cry. It wasn't like what I was shown on the map at all. I could barely see the stage.

This kind of stuff pisses me off too. It needs to stop. It's one thing to have a change of plans and get rid of your tickets in a hurry - it's another to stockpile tickets just to make a quick buck. Ticket limits per person would be one way to combat this...
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

well i have mention this many time on here how it pisses me off!! i think its fair to say the chems would not be selling their tour out now if it wasn't for the ebay touts. i think it would be more realistic to expect them to sell out soon after the album is released. if the tour sells out it must be difficult to tell whether or not to add extra shows seeing as a lot of tickets are in the wrong hands.

i have actually considered selling tickets on ebay. last month i bought a couple of tickets for oasis in the summer. i considered buying my full alowed allocation rather than the 2 i needed. i could have easily made a mint on the extra tickets, and that would have probably covered the cost of the 2 tickets i needed. but i'm not like that, ripping people off is not my scene.

damn, I just went to check and they were sold out, then came here and saw this message. Looks like I'm a day too late.

Is there anywhere I can get these tickets now (at face value)??

close to the gig someone might be selling them here but otherwise touts on ebay are the most obvious sellers.
