Last night my girl and I were about to go for ice cream and I asked her if she had any preferences as to what CD I brought for the ride. To my surprise, she picked 'Surrender' (well, actually, "the one with Hey Boy, Hey Girl", but close enough). I know she likes Music:Response and the bass-wave of Under the Influence, so I just cranked it and decided conversation could wait until we had ice cream. Spying at her out of the corner of my eye, I could see that she was well into Under the Influence.

After ice cream, I asked if she minded if we just drove around and listened to the rest of the album (at full volume, of course) and she said sure. I don't think I've ever listened to Surrender so closely before and heard all sorts of new sounds on the album and she was clearly loving the album and said she'd love to own it.

I think she'd really enjoy the next Chems gig I go to if she can get the time off work and she expressed interest in coming. As for me, I found a new reason to love her....

Thank you Tom & Ed for making me love my girlfriend even more. :D :-//

P.S. After Surrender, our asses were owned by Electronic Battle Weapon 7. (And she loves Galvanize.)

Bwahaha, Slipvin! You smart ass, I love it!!! ;)

That's very sweet Darkstarexodus. (awwwwww!) It's a beautiful thing when love can open up your ears and music can open up your heart.

One of the main reasons why I love the Chemical Brothers music is because 'stash and I can share it and enjoy it so much together, just as much as one another. I know it sounds corny but it's true.

Driving around aimlessly with my husband while listening to music is my favorite waste of time. :)

No offence Jeanie, but we didn't really need to know about your private conversations with other board members. They're private for a reason - people don't usually want them broadcast among their peers.

Not a rant, sorry if it came across that way.

....my only concern about taking her to a Chems show is she has a very low tolerance of blinking lights, crowds, and loud noises. The last concert we went to she actually blacked out and we had to leave. We're not sure if someone spiked her drink or if it was the concert itself. .... thus, a Chems show is probably the least safe place on Earth this side of Iraq.... :( Nevertheless, she's willing to give it a go if Tom & Ed head back to this side of the ocean. I told her if she passes out I'm just going to hold her up until the show is over and THEN we'll take her to a hospital. She was cool with that. :D

Haha I know everything about that. When I first saw the Chems I was with my gf I had that time. After 15 minutes she couldn't handle it and left the venue. I stayd behind and watched the whole gig. And man did we had a big fight.

But h it was the band I REALLY wanted to see (don't we all?)

During Come With Us, 'stash's sister V. and her husband Eric meet up with us at Coachella for the Chems.

5 minutes into the Chems and Eric is totally lost in the music, and V. wanders off to soothe her migraine. I don't even remember her saying she was leaving - she just disappeared!

After the set we found her and she flipped a shit at poor Eric. Man, was she pissed off! Talk about stopping the rock...
