I taught a group of year 7 pupils a dance to Galvanise after watching the video.

Woow that's cool, it would be awesome if our PE teacher would do things like that from time to time...

Yeah It was fun to teach, shame I didnt have pupils like yourself who fully appreciated the tune.

Had to tone it down to how I would normally dance. In the vid there is alot of hand gestures used and lots of different levels so I took those movements and made a shorter dance involving them.

That's really friggen cool, Acidchildren! Thumbs up to you for spreading the gospel! ;)

Even if they didn't appreciate the song like you hoped they would, at least you had many pairs of ears tuning in.

cheers whirly, would of loved to of played track 3 of the cd aswell but I think EBW7 would of been a bit to much for there ears. Plus I dont think it would be quite right with a voice booming out 'you are all my children now'.

This is a great thread.

The other night i was visiting my best friend and he just got an iPod and he wanted me to upload some of my records and I gave him a sampler of good introductory chems somes (aka songs like Galvanize, Get Yourself High, but not the EBW7s).. Then earlier this month I got my girlfriend the "It matters that it doesn't matter." If you see two people wearing chems shirts, that's us.

The other day, I was taking back some videos, and the guy at the counter asked me how 'Kung Fu Hustle' was, and I said, "dude, to be honest, I didn't even watch it. I only rented it so I could see if the Chemical Borthers album surrender synched up to it' and he was like, "whoa, does that work?" and I tell him "the chems have so many different layers of beats in every song, it synchs up to aannnnnnnnnnything" and he promised to try it.

I've converted a new colleague by playing Chems stuff in the car as I've given her lifts to work. She's very pretty too, so possibly a future addition to Tom and Ed's harem. X-D

When I was working at a record store a few years ago, I burned my boss a copy of the Santiago Gig right when I got it because she was saying she liked some of the chems' stuff, so i figured a live disc would be a good non-piracy way to help get a fan. So I ran into her and her husband a night or two ago and he was thanking me for burning that disc for them. That was a very proud moment for me

Oh man, Biff, I totally understand what you mean!

There were many aspects of the record store job that make me not miss it one bit. One exception was being able to give out recommendations, and spread the love of Tom and Ed.

When Push The Button came out, I constantly had it on rotation in the store. I absolutely loved it when people would ask "hey, what song is that?" because then I could tell them, then direct them to a listening station so they could hear the cd. Without fail, every time Push The Button was playing in the store, I'd have a few customers a day ask me "hey, what song is that?" A lot of people bypassed the listening station and bought the album off of hearing that one song when they were browsing around the store. Good times.

I have a little "Chemical Brothers" pin that's black and white I keep on my purse. It's small though, not sure if anyone can really see it.

Does a liscense plate frame that says "Come With Us" on it count? I know it's kinda subtle, but it's a subtle way of spreading the gospel you know, not being overly evangelisitic...

Yeah I was working at the record store when push the button came out and we were always had that promo playing since it was one everyone had their favorite track on, and I definitly took a fair amount of those pins, plus I have like a brick-sized stack of "singles" and "come with us sticker" some of which now reside on my coffee mugs, love stealing free stuff!
