The lineup doesn't excite me massively, was most excited about Royksopp but doesn't look like they're gonna be there. But then I've never done a festival before so I think I would still enjoy it anyways - like what Darkstar said there's acts there I haven't heard that I'd probably enjoy.
I'll just go with the flow, I'd rather be there and not go to Coachella than not go at all. I'm happy just being with a bunch of cool people - going to LA, Mexico, Disneyland, Joshua Tree whatever.
Still flying to Palm Springs, I realise now that LA would have been better as transport in Palm Springs is not great, but unfortunately I'm not a person who likes to sit and wait and see how things turn out before organising stuff, its just me :?.

A group of people is just asking for trouble down there. It is so corrupt in that city and so packed with unsuspecting tourists that it's way to easy to get busted for about anything. Even so much as not paying for a beer that's brought to you, even though you never asked for it in the first place - they'll call the cops to sort it out. ...stash?
The girls and I will stay away from TJ, maybe hit up a club in Los Angeles instead while you boys are halfway betwen the gutters and smog obscured stars of Tijuana. ;)

There's still time to plan. Things may change - keeps us on our toes.
Is there no way of changing your flight to Los Angeles or Orange County? Maybe it can be arranged to change your flight for an extra fee? Seriously, it would be so much easier on you especially if nobody is going to Coachella - then you'd be stuck out in the desert and taking lenghty trips on the Greyhound.
Like I said, if need be I will fetch you from the desert but mind you it's about 100 miles at least from my house and everything depends on the traffic. You leave at the wrong time and it's well over 2 hours out. I dig you like you were my own lil brother... but that's a lot of sitting in traffic on a Thursday or Friday evening!
As a last resor and you can't change your flight and mepicking you updoesn't seem feasible, to quote Darkstarexodus: Greyhound is your friend.

I was considering taking the Greyhound down to Cali to take in the scenery and then flying home, but the difference in price between a one-way plane ticket and a round-trip plane ticket is approx $40 CDN. What a joke.
Man, I can feel sunny California calling me, though. Can't wait. Less than 90 days.

Oh yes, there will be booze (massive field trip to Hi-Time Cellars, I know Darkstar is down with that!). A large grocery shopping trip is in order. Trippin on down to Taco Loco for the best tacos around is most definitely in order.
Air mattresses. We need air mattresses, bring em if you got em. I've got plenty of sheets and blankets, but we will need air mattresses. Our living room is going to look like one of those giant moon bounce machines the kids have for birthday parties! X-D
Bring your bathing suits, there's a pool and jacuzzi where I live. Oh, this will be interesting to see how many people we can cram into the jacuzzi...
I've got plenty of towels so you all can get nice and clean.
One thing though - my car only seats 5 people, stash's car seats 4 and it's on it's last spark plug. Fuck it... we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
As for airport pick-ups: pm me. I will do my best to pick up as many people as I can but I can only be at one place at one time. I'm already picking up Jeanie on the Thursday night aroun 9-ish from Orange County. If at all possible (I know it's more expensive though) try to fly into Orange County airport. Last resort would be Los Angeles. Very very last resort would be Palm Springs... mc marsh, I would never leave a man behind!!
I'm totally thrilled that you all are being such good sports about all this. I'm really looking forward to it all - it'll be a fun, non-Coachella fest!

Taco Loco!!! Damn! I'm getting super excited! "Trippin' on down"? Clever pun or subconscious slip? X-D
My schedule for flights is reasonably flexible, so I'll wait to see when everyone else is coming in and with any luck I can arrive within an hour or so. Feckin' eejits jacked the prices to Santa Ana, though, but that's alright.
Now, I just need money!
I'm sure between the lot of us travellers, we could probably sport out for a rental car. Glyn and I both drive, so no problem there.

d00d, I wanna skip taco loco and take you guys to a REAL Taqueria.... there's a place that sells deep fried cricket quesadillas!
Can we do both? I want Taco Loco! [/petulant child]
Man, I want to be at Hi-Times right now. My bank account doesn't, but I do.

Darkstar I was so bummed out that we were too broke to go when you were here over the summer. I mean, you're visiting southern California therefore you must make the obligatory trip to Disneyland.
I ain't eating no cricket quesadillas. So stash can take whoever he wants to the authentic taqueria and the rest of us will ease on down to Taco Loco.
Hi-Time Cellars is mandatory. That place is the Disneyland of booze.
This thread definitely took a definitive turn. For better or worse is yet to be seen. hehehe.
