it was about this time 25 years ago i talked my dad into taking me to the cinema to see the star wars double bill, a new hope and empire strikes back. 25 years ago i heard darth varder tell luke skywalker 'i am your father'. in a months time the storey will be completed. i am so nervous about it. the classic trillogy was part of my childhood, classic films that still give me great pleasure today. the new films the phanton menace and attack of the clones have been weak. revenge of the sith has a lot to live up to. if this is another weak film the the prequal will have been a waste of time and more like an advert for lucas films and ILM. this film has got to be good, it needs to be good

I totally know what you mean! Those original Star Wars films are iconic, a big part of my childhood too. I'll never forget seeing Star Wars in the theaters on opening day, and my mom was even up for it! I remember the whole theater was packed, and when the film ended people stood up and cheered and clappened and threw popcorn into the air. Those poor theater ushers had a massive mess to clean up! X-D
It's so awesome to see my son is so into Star Wars, it reminds me of me when I was his age, but he's a bit more obsessive compulsive about it - he's a Star Wars trivia hound and it's quite impressive for a kid his age. He has the films memorized and he's been watching the Sith trailer every day. Can't wait to take him to see the final installment!

It's not like it matters either way, though. I'll be spending all day indoors at work.

I go to work in half an hour. Yipee. Another day of shuffling around cd's for the bankrupt corporate monster.
I hope something interesting happens today.

Hey, at least all the bullshit and talk about the weather is confined to one thread. For the most part anyway. ;)

I love my job but sometimes it feels like the same old rut, day in and day out. I've seen a lot of change in the company over the years (mainly the eradication of the art department, which is where I worked) and the company isn't run the way it used to be. Tower is up for sale and has been up for sale for over 2 years now, and we still haven't had any biters. It's even worse now that the company filed for bankruptcy to make good on it's outstanding debt but it's like Tower is barely trying to stay afloat in a dying market. Right now we're literally owned by the banks - it's all about the bottom line and how much product they can shuffle from the warehouses to the stores, and back to the warehouses again. We slate all this product for return, send it back, then literally a couple days later we get in a fresh shipment of the same product so the sotres are overflowing with product - it just looks bad. It's no way to sell records...

yes.. weather.. and maybe policemen! i want to contribute something to this subject, too.. but it's rather funny :) yesterday night my mother went into a caf after a meeting. they went there to have some wine. luckily she did not like it so she only took a few sips. she went home. .on her way she did not give way to a car at a switched off traffic light - it was a police car :D !! she got out and talked to them with the flat hand at her mouth.. "oh didn't i give you the priority? i'm so sorry"
they didn't smell anything
