the cover photo is a big pic of tom and ed - haven't bought it yet just noticed a chap outside the station in brighton selling it and spotted tom and ed were on the cover. am going to stop off tomorrow on the way to pick to grab a copy.

When I was working at Tower, I had my own office/studio/escape room at the store so I could put up pictures and old displays - pretty much anything I wanted. I had a little corner where I had a couple of torn magazine covers with the Chems hanging up in my office. One day this kid comes into my office to chat, and he's this long haired death metal kid - really cool, hardly knows a lick about any other kind of music besides metal and he's usually super quiet, just into this own thing. And he looks over at the pictures of the Chems I had hanging up. He said to me, "Now don't take this the wrong way.. but... I don't want to sound racist but... I thought the Chemical Brothers were black."

"Huh?" I replied.

"Well, you know that song off Push The Button, the one that's about the war. The guy singing it sounds black. So which one is singing it? The guy with the glasses or the one with the brown hair? I mean, it... it just doesn't look like either one of them could be belting out hip hop like that."

"Ehm. No - the Chemical Brothers are lillywhite English boys. Neither of those 2 actually sings that song. It's rapper Anwar Superstar."

"Oh, OK... I'm really sorry. I'm sort of confused. I hope you're not offended or anything!"

"Nah, no worries man."
