DAFT PUNK WAS AMAZING!!!



My favorite moment: The peak mixing in Around the World with Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. One of the most beautiful things I�ve ever felt.

Second day over. Daft Punk simply incredible.

chems set last night again as allways very good, new tracks sound fantastic, i think theres an acid track in there somewhere. From reaction to STA and UTI was incredible. Thanx Ed and Tom, was really enjoyable.

ARGH!!! I just wrote the longest revieuw ever ( I see ya�ll thinking - can jeanie�s revieuws be any longer....? ) and than the computer at the hotel stopt working !! So now i went to the crappiest internet cafe ever - but hey , it works - too feed all you�re appetite for some Chemical News.



First of all , well you all already read all the stuff i wrote about Daft Punk and my new hero Fatboy Slim ( What a great man , the word FUN is written on his forehead!) so u can imagine how tired i was....



But , my body works in a weird way. I couldn�t sleep AT ALL. I slept 3 hours and than i was like �PARTY TIME! �



I had a great day with my friend Sofie. She is a model from Holland and we started togheter 4 years ago! We are good friends and she was in Barca for work , and i convinced her to stay....so she changed her flight. Bless her :D I really needed her around , its a bit hard sometimes to be the only girl around 5 boys ;-) X-D



So around 8 me and Sofie went to the festival , after some nice tapas at a lovely terrace. Sofie didn�t now what to excpect at all :P She�s not such a big music fan as i am but she is very open to new things , so she was the perfect friend to have along. She�s so easy going !



The first band of the evening we saw was Bell Orchestra , recommended by a lovely girl from Swiss who we met in the subway and hung arond with for a bit - she was all alone. This band makes movie music X-D but it was actually very good. They play with violins and trompets and they make quite dancy music but very beautifull. And they are very talnted , too!



After that we went to sit on the grass field for a bit where we meet up with Irish fan , Acid and Marsh ( Yeah i�m using their internames so we all know who�s who ;-) ) this grass field is nice couse it goes up so u have a nice vieuw of the great fesitval with all this very nice people. We saw Starsailor - i personaly really like this band a lot , his voice is very nice and the lyrics are very touching to me.



Than it was New Order who rocked the stage! They played a very good set and the crowd ( who was great in general ) was well up for it. Some die hard fans in there i think !! I have to say i dont like all the new order stuff. I prefer Joy Division first off all , so offource i was please to hear Love Will tear Us Apart like all the audience! Middle of the set Marsh , Sofie and i went to to the field - it was such a nice temperature and we had an icecream jummmmie! - and everybody was waiting for Blye Monday. When they finally played it everybody went ape !!!!

And bernard is such a funny man too X-D



After New Order it was time for a restroom break , and as we passed the other stage the Happy Mondays were just playing 24 hour party people. That was great !!



Time to head to the dance tent were ut Copy was still playing. So much fun this band! 3 really nice guys making really fun music , the crowd ( not so many people were there ) went totally crazy!



When this band stopped we had the perfect spot in the front against the fence. As we were waitng for Nathan Detroit to come Tom came and said Hi!



At 1 Nathan came on. What a great dj , what a great selection of tunes and what a great man. he seems to be very good friends with Tom and Ed and he really feels the music when he is dj-ing. And he�s cute too , or maybe that is just my weird taste in guys X-D



The crowd was well up for it. The great thing about the spanish - they dont like to stand so cose to eachother u can�t move. So even in the front we has SO much room to dance !! What a great audience!



Tom and Ed came on stage under a loud applaus and lots of excitement and entousiasm of the crowd. Yeah , they are gods here in Spain. At least the spanish have some taste in music X-D ( yeah i really fell in love with the audience , it�s not obvious is it ... )



The stage was very simple and dark so sorry boys and girls , i have not one picture of the chems...i was too busy dancing my ass off anyways !!



They started with STA ... wauw , that song gives me tears in my eyes everytime i hear it. They played such a great selection of tunes , but as ya�ll know my memory for tunes is kinda crap so i�m sure Mr I-Know-Every-Single-Song-They-Played Thomas will fill me in ;-)



They played a lot of new stuff i have the impression. And boys and girls........the last song they played ( Tom and Ed , if u read this ad you prob will , read closely! ) Was so absolutely mind blowingly fucking halleluja good and beautifull that i didn�t know what to doo with myself anymore! And this was a new track , Tom told me later.........



Oooooooh the excitement !! The animal track sounds better as ever , and for the rest it was guessing what was a new Chems track but you can kinda hear the Chems sound. People , it sounded so good , i wish i could share it with ya�ll !!! But this last song.... 8O My goodness. Heaven man pure heaven. It was not very fast but still danceable and it was just...beautifull :'(



The crowd was so up for it , not always but most of the time. But everybody was probably already up for 2 days like me so sometimes it�s hard to keep dancing. Lightweights! Hahahahaa Jk ;-)



Tom and Ed seemed to be enjoying themselves too! We got a couple of waves , smiles and thunmbs up from them , and we returned that in going ape on the great tunes they dropped 8)



My friend Sofie really enjoyed it! It was her first Chemical Experience and she liked it...... i knew she was cool 8) We had a lot of space to dance so it was like we were in a club !!



And they played Star Guitar and Leave Home....lord lord lord i thought i couldn�t dance anymore cause i was so dead but this songs...WAUW!!



( Oh , Ed , was that Toms drink u spilled in the very beggining of the set ... ? Good u didn�t spill it on Tom�s record , or u could make yourself a t shirt like Acidchildren did X-D )



After the set the Chems got a big applaus , and i was sooooooo happy to be there in Barca with Sofie and the rest , and to had such a good party. Ed came to the front of the stage where we were to say goodbye. What a adorable man that is!



And just a things couldnt get any better , Tom walks out with some beers for us X-D How supwer cute is that !!! We had a quick chat , i didnt know what the others talked about but i asked him how Madrid was - and i still had no voice so it must have sound very strange. Madrid seemed to big good , but i said to Tom Barcelona was better because we are there !! X-D Than i asked him what the last track they played was and he said it was a new track. I almost did peepee in my pants thats how excited i was cause honestly i�m not saying it just because it was Tom , but i told him it was really fucking good cause it is !!



Nathan played some great tunes again after the Chems



And now i am sitting here listening to some tunes on my Ipod and totally afterglowing !!



So Tom - Thanks for the beers and for taking the time to have a little chat with us. Hearing that that piece of heaven u played for the last track is a new track made me so happy i almost wanted to give u hugg ! Hahahahahaha X-D I kinda expected it to be a Chems track cause it sounded very chems. But still u know.



And Ed , just thanks for everything !! For always waving at us Nerdy Groupies who are always there X-D Were are like mosquitos , u can�t get rid of us. I dont sting tho , and i dont make anoying sounds , expect when i loose my voice.



So big ups to the Brothers wo worked it out again.

U guys music and good party was just what i needed after a though week !!! THanks for fixing me up !! X-D

Wicked review Jeanie, I was really feeling the vibe whilst reading it! Sounds like it was another top night of mind bending chemicals, kinda sad I missed it but I would have died out there so it's probably for the best



I'm totally convinced now that following Fabric and now Summercase, that there's a release right around the corner. I'm sure of it, I'm feeling it big time 8)

Wow that was an awsome Review It definitly Makes my Intention of Going to any chems concert in NA Much stronger.

Damn ! I'm jealous to see so pleasure in dj set reviews... Chems didn't come to Paris since 2003 for a dj set ! It's too long, please come this winter to rock our asses ! X-D



New tracks ? But what are you waiting for to came it out ! My turntables need a chemical vynil fix. I saw that they played " My spine is the bassline" from Shriekback ! Aie aie aie aie !what an awesome track ! everypeople who listened to it said me " what is that?it's good !" Wicked groove...

festival was great, daft punk rocked, as did the scream and ofcourse the chems, but it being about 35c in that tent i didnt have much rave in me!



acid,marsh,your absolute geezers, great to meet you. we will rave again!



tom,ed, you rocked the party right, that tent was never so full throughout the whole weekend. thank you.
