Dear Tom n Ed,

When you used to do New Years Eve at Turnmills every year it was flippin marvellous.

It was easy for us to get all our mates together to go to one place as we knew the night would be good and the music would be wicked.

All the forumites who could make it would hook up and rave hard. Some would even spill champagne on your decks.

We all used to have the best time, it would proper set the year off with a bang.

New years eve just isnt the same anymore - all the different pockets of mates want to do different things, and instead of a phat chems dj set we usually end up in an over-priced night with music that is distinctly average.

I know Turnmills is gone, but if you could find a new venue and start doing New Years again I would love you forever.

Thank you!

Mips

ps - ello to everyone i havent spoken to for a while!!! hope you are all good in the hood, i still think about the adventures we all had :)

I wasn't there when you guys and girls were hanging out with the bros and stuff (but its been posted here with pics and all, and they were great reads!) These days, Tom's with the family, and Ed, well, he's Ed and does his thing, but I think the Chems are officially off on NYE gigs (even though I do wish for them to give it another whirl ) But here's to the future Mips!

Aw mips!

Even though I never got to physically join you guys for the Turnmills NYE festivities, the excitement, hype, planning and aftermath that took place on this forum was exciting to me because I could sort of live it through you all. And the texts and loopy post-Turnmills phone calls from Jeanie were the best! One step beyond sleep deprived. One step beyond house, hahahaha!

It's hard to believe those NYE's took place all those years ago, now. Just thinking about all that craziness makes me feel old, and I wasn't even there!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Every NYE brings back memories of the countdown track (then unknown Burst Generator) when the beats kicks in confetti drops from the Turnmills ceiling. God, I wish I was clubbing with all you English nutters (and Jeans) at Turnmills at NYE with Tom & Ed behind the decks.
Happy New year, this one is for all of you.

That rocks so hard, Joslyn! Thank you for that. What a magical moment that was... Didn't they play Burst Generator again later that night because it was so awesome the first time around?

Mipps! Good to hear from you man.

This NYE was not completely memorable, nor completely un-memorable I suppose. Spent time with good friends and my girlfriend, and enjoyed myself. All was well and had fun. It went as expected.

I remember that year. I managed to go to three of them in a row i think it was. The last one when the clock struck midnight and the confetti burst open, i was bent over double with pain of getting confetti in my eye whilst everyone else was jumping, hugging, and having fun. Good times though.
Even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day
