I don't know, I haven't heard it yet. But the limited edition packaging looks pretty sweet - good for collectors (I don't know what extra goodies are inside) but it's a bit bulky to put on a shelf with other cd's.

Just read on Teletext (and now at his official site) that this release is being reissued with a bonus discs of remixes - including his instrumental club mix of Out of Control (unsure if this is a rare track or not).

damn it now that i have the album they are gonna reissue it with a bonus disc. how unfair ???
It's totally unfair, especially since Sasha had not one, but *2* releases back in June. A regular Involver edition, and an Involver edition with some really nice packaging that's great for fans or collectors! Come on now!!
I am about to go on a little rant here.
I think reissues such as this are one of the most despicable ways a label (or an artist, depending on who's pulling the strings) can swindle money out of people. It really irks me to no end!
Now, I do make exceptions. I have no problem with artists who reissue older discs (like the Clash did with London Calling) that offer super bonuses for the value. I like digitally remastered stuff, I think if you like an older band and out comes something that's digitally remastered, you'll get your money's worth plus the sound will be fantastic. I have no problem when artists issue a limited edition cd on the same release date as the regular version... like the Chemical Brothers did with the Singles and most recently, like what Green Day did with American Idiot. I'm totally cool with that, and by initially offering a bonus/limited edition disc alongside a new release for a one-time price is a way to pique interest for casual fans and hardcore fans *and* generate quick money for the label and artist.
For instance, Norah Jones. She had loads of success with her first record, and as the norm, she released a follow-up "Feels Like Home" a few months ago. It did really well at first but then sales went lukewarm and there were whispers that it didn't quite live up to her debut. So now, a "new" version (packaging among other things) of "Feels Like Home" her latest has just come out and it includes a bonus disc. Can't get the bonus disc unless you fork over the money for the cd, too. And most people that ran out and bought "Feels Like Home" already did that months ago. I think Moby pulled the same deal a few years ago with Play and the b-sides disc. Why not just release a specially priced ep, something that can be marketed as "new" rather than recycled or duplicated, and something that can generate interest and money without having to swindle people into buying 2 of the same thing.
And I think this tactic is wasteful, makes the artists look greedy, and unfortunately we'll see more of this as the holidays draw near.
Anyway. I'm done now. I feel better. :D
