Woah mippio! You're really taking me back now! Transformers were and always will be the mack daddy of all toys! BTW I assume I wasn't the only kid to cry when Optimus Prime died in the movie?
Lol I used to have all the Centurions too - as I recall they were bloody hard to get here in the uk, but I had no probs collecting em all when I lived in new zealand as a youngster :D
Yeah Mask was cool too - my mate used to have boulder hill the spoilt bastard! He-Man was cool too - in fact that is one old cartoon that has actually been improved upon in it's newest incarnation. It's quite fun - check it out if you can - I think it's on Toonami here in the uk. :)

Holy crap i forgot about good old thundercats!
lol I must admit I was spoilt a bit too i guess..... I had (hopefully still have, unless my dad has chucked out the contents of his shed!) loads of transformers and yes, *assumes proud stance* I had the Thundertank! :D It wasn't as cool as the thundertank in the thundercats cartoon (ie only one thundercat fitted in it, as opoosed to the whole team), but i was the only kid on the block to have one! Woo hoo!
What else was cool back then......... anyone remember Bandai's attempt to usurp mattel's grip on the transforming robots market - the Gobots? They were very cool too, they even had transforming rock guys and shit. But they didn't have the same cult appeal the 'Formers have. I s'pose a popular cartoon helps to establish that cult tho huh! 8)

God I feel old. Transformers was just a wee bit after my time.
My dad worked for Mattel, then later on Cox hobbies who made radio and remote controlled cars, airplanes, gliders and we even had a remote controlled boat. We crashed a lot of stuff!
My brother and I had the most incredible toys and boardgames! He had those Rock Em Sock Em robots but it was the radio controlled stuff that he liked. I was kind of a tomboy but I had every doll imaginable, lots of these dolls with huge heads and tiny bodies called Kiddles - also had lots of Barbies - and I'd put them in these gas and radio powered dune buggies, drive them around and crash them into things and watch the Barbies go flying! X-D
