- Rocky dance, lots of guitars and indie influences, more use of live instruments?
- Electroclash, but maybe its been done to much now by the likes of Goldfrapp?
- Tribal house, kinda like layo and bushwacka?
- Wild experiemental, would love to here an hour long mix of maddness with all the material that hasnt been used before?
- Breaks and dnb, maybe as this area has not been touched?
These are a few ideas myself and chemicalfan talked about. But over all we concluded that you just cant tell with the chems where they are going next.

Do you people reckon it could possibly go any of the following ways:
- Rocky dance, lots of guitars and indie influences, more use of live instruments?

Every CB album have been somehow eclectic, and I think the next album will have a little of all that (at least I hope so) But my biggest hope is to have ONLY instrumental tracks. Or at least to have only bits of lyrics like in Believe. Believe is one of their best track ever IMO.

In hindhearing you can link one album to the next very easily... especially with the help of b-sides and remixes.

aight people.
thing about the chems is that they have never been influenced about the lastest sounds arounds. so i cant see them going down the nu electro house sound of the moment, electroclash sound of a few years back or what ever pete tong latest sound he is championing. so what ever the next album brings im sure it will be inspired by whats in the hearts and head. i remember reading an artical in idj magazine last year in which it said that they had a lot of demented track that didnt make it for 'push the button' and they wanted to develope those tracks as part of their next project.
i must admit lately i've been thinking what i'd like to here from them in the future. i'd love to hear collaborations from:
green velvet - i love the idea of him doing one of his insane spoke world vocal tracks like 'flash' or 'answer phone'.
bobby gillespie - about time they did a full collobration with this guy. i think bobbys voice is so versitle to different sounds. i love the 'soul auctioneer' track he did with death in vegas
the polyphonic spree - i've been listening to one of there albums recently, i wont say i love their music, some of its a bit... but some of it is awesome. i love the idea of tom and ed producing a track with a 25 piece band!!!
i would really love to hear an album that would knock my socks off, like the first 3 albums did for me. 'come with us' was a good album and 'push the button' was great with some awesome moments, but they dont compare to the classic trilogy to me. i know this band can deliver another album that can change my perception of music.

I think it's time for this album to get people talking about other bands producing Chems-style music again (whatever that might mean a few months from now) rather than us wondering who the Chems will emulate.
I mean, yeah, I'd love to hear Tom and Ed's take on Plump DJ's-style nu-breaks for an example, but I'd much rather have them do something spectacularly different such that next year I'm here saying I hope the Plumps explore the sound created on Chemical 6.
And I definetly want a Bobby Gillespie collaboration (preferably also featuring Kevin Shields), as I've made abundantly clear in several other posts over the past few months.

I hate Soul Auctioneer :/
I think I would either kill myself if they decided to go country or if I had enouth time before that to listen to them make country cool, then maybe that would work :D

I think we could make a sect and do a collective suicide, with fire or whatever we would find...

Cool, then we could blame it on some important issue in the world and maybe make legislasition go the correct path and start an era of peace :)

i think that to make country cool it whould not be country any more/
if the chems were to go country it would still be techno.

i herd something about them recentally I think with regards to working with a dance act? Anyone else here that?
Yeah I agree with the points you have made, its hard to tell with the chems with regards to what is coming next, and yes it would be cool to here the demented tracks that didnt make it. But I think what I agree with most is that this band can alter muscial preception and have the potential to do this for a long time coming.

I wouldn't mind a 5-track EP of demented tracks as a prelude to Chemical 6.
