I'm quite excited to hear her new album seeing as it's been produced by the man of the moment, and the man of future if he keeps creating such beautiful music as he has been: Jacques Lu Cont/Stuart Price/Thin White Duke/Les Rhythem Digital/Pour Homme/Zoot Woman.
The first single Hang Up is very good indeed. Samples an Abba song. I'm listening to it as we type 8)

Apparently her new album has stirred up plenty of controversy in regards to Kabbalism. She wrote a song about a highly revered Jewish mystic Kabbalist Rabbi and it seems that profiting off anyone that highly revered is a big no-no in the Kabbalism order. She might've been denounced, but I'm not sure.
At any rate, I'm not a massive fan of Madonna's music but I've always been drawn to her and her shrewd ability to constantly reinvent herself and try new things. It's been so fascinating watching her go from nothing to something to a major pop icon over the years.

Apparently the nickname for her by the staff at her record label Warner is OLDFRAPP! X-D There may be a small clue in that to what her album might sound like!
I use to love her as a kid, I even drew a fake mole just like her one but to be honest I haven't really like any of her records for a while... i think the last one i liked was her Ray of Light album and i did like her early 90s erotica stuff/bedtime stories era that the press didn't like.

As cheesy as ABBA is, I sort of have a soft spot for them, a guilty pleasure. It was the "hippest" thing my parents listened to regularly.
When I was small, I thought the song Mamma Mia was written just for me. X-D
My dad worked for one of the first ever laser disc companies, and one of the things we had on disc were a collection of ABBA videos I haven't seen since way back when. Talk about cheesy!

I didn't notice the ABBA sample in the original version. In my opinion it's not that good. In the remix version the ABBA sample is used so obviously I don't like it at all. It doesn't take the ABBA sample to make me dislike the song but it doesn't help either. It is used in a very "like Puff Daddy/Will Smith samples" kind-of-way.
