I have listened to this album a few times and it just doesn't work for me. I liked the happy go lucky sound of the first album but this seems a bit serious. Love Stylo though

Looking forward to buying this one but at the same time reluctant at the moment as I bought the new Air and Flaming Lips albums back in January and only managed to listen to them once.

I agree--this album just seems too 'obsessed' with the oceon and environmentalism. Most of the songs that I like are the more retro-electro ones, but the hip-hop tracks I'm not feeling, while the last two albums had so much awesome, innovative hip-hop/other type tracks. Basically, I'm disappointed.

What??? All the hip-hop here is pretty clearly 2009/2010. The hip-hop tracks on his last two albums sounded sort of recycled.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Hmm, yes, especially on the first album. But the songs like "Kids with Guns", "Dirty Harry", and "November Has Come" are pretty diverse in instrumentation, structure, and vocals (and sampling?) that I found much enjoyable, and to a certain extent I'm not hearing that on the new album. I also miss MF Doom, though that is rather trivial.

Anyways, I'm giving it another listen to see if I can't enjoy it more. :ugeek:
