Still, our team these days isn't bad by CONCACAF standards but a series of choking performances and the horrible Central American refereeing (the German match-fixers could learn a thing or two from these guys!!!) sealed our fate this time out.

Don't get me wrong, winter is beautiful. But it's hard to appreciate it when your eyes are literally frozen shut. At least it's only 15 below right now (with the windchill). Soon it'll be about 30 degrees below that....... :(
Yeah! I wouldn't compare your Canadian "Siberian-winters" to our wanna be ones where the European starting to freeze at -5C, you know...
Soon it'll be about 30 degrees below that....... :(
So it's obviously better don't missing the bus . . . X-D

It's all about what you're used to, though. There's no shame in complaining about what, to me, is a mild winter, if that's your standard of comparison.
I just don't understand why anyone actually settled where I live. Doesn't make any sense to me. :D

I was shocked when I found out over 1 million people lined the streets of Liverpool when they won the Champions League this past year.
I had intended to be in Tampa Bay for the Stanley Cup Finals a year and a half ago when the Lightning won the Stanley Cup (NHL hockey championship for those not in the know), but plans fell through at the last moment. Would've been special.

Now Hating: Ive got Modules this weekkk.. This term is hell.. this whole year is just work work work. Its not the work they give us, its what time they give us it, Like for example, we have hardly anything to do over Halloween, Which is good yeh, but when we come back they throw aload of Courseworks/Assignments in our faces and say get them done, whilst other subject teachers give us additional homeworks and assignments on top of that
}:-@
They should really consider spacing it all out. But theyre making us have all our coursework before the new year, which i totally agree on aswell, cause it gives the teachers more time to help us with the exams rather than catchin up on coursework.
Argh i just hate 5th year ... :P

Or if you don't want to go the prescribed mediation route, you can go to the vitamin store and grab some 5-HTP. It's got tryptophans in it, and that not only boots your serotonin levels but makes you sleepy as well. Not as hard hitting as a lot of prescription drugs. 5-HTP has been recommended to help ease insomnia. It's also good for headaches.
Apparently recommended for weight loss as well, though studies are divided on that.

My son's gecko, Crusty, has passed away. Little fella just lying in the front of his cage with his eyes wide open and his mouth slightly ajar, rest his little lizard soul.
My poor little son. When we came home (we had just gotten a fresh batch of baby crickets to feed Crusty) we went to his cage and my son took one look and all the blood drained from his face. Then the big tears and body shaking sobs came and the poor kid got my shirt all soaked from crying.
When it was all over and I was tucking my son into bed, he was all worried about what we were going to do with the crickets...

Generally, they can live quite a long time - the girl at the lizard store told stash about 20 years. But personally I think the little fella was too small when he was brought home, I sort of had a feeling. He never grew any larger but was fine until a couple of weeks ago and his eating became sporadic and he became listless. We thought maybe it was because it was the seasons. We started feeding him by hand because he wasn't hunting for the crickets we put in his cage. He started putting on a little bit of weight and we thought he'd be OK, but obviously that wasn't the case.
Yeah, my son's absolutely crushed! Being the lover of all things great and small, he feels like it was his fault that Crusty died. Poor kid...
