I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow or Monday, taking our friend from Massachusettes who has never been. The coasters are pretty tame but they're loads of fun.

We went to Knott's Berry Farm a couple weeks ago and rode a wicked rollercoaster called Silver Bullet - where you sit beneath the track, so your feet dangle below you. I was wearing sandals so I had to take them off before the ride. It was quite refreshing on my toes. The whole ride was a blast, the most fun roller coaster I've been on in ages.

takesumtime - its in Six Flags New Jersey!

You havent been ?! Damn shame on you! They have Kingda Ka! The fastest and highest in the world! When Mips and I were there it was clsoed tho :(

And no we are not in that pic!

Anyway - Fucking idiots broke into our car last night! At 5.45 our neighbour who was walking her dog rings our doorbell to tell us that our car window was broken. They stole our radio and shit.

I dont care about the window and the radio cause we have a good insurance , but this happened like 3 meters way from where i sleep ( My bedroom is downstairs and its right next to the street ) and i have my door open ( that leads into the garden wich has a locked fence ) and i dont even hear anything.

That sucks, Jeanie. Having your car broken into is a violating experience. It's also creepy that it happened so close to where you sleep!

Well it sounds really bad but its not. I just didnt know how to translate it from dutch! Its really not that bad. If u wanna hear the discusting details ; basicly all the holes and spaces in youre head are filled up with...snot!

And because of that u get big headacke and pain in the eyes and stuff.

But i feel fine , really. I just kind of needed an excuse not to go to work today :$ How bad is that! i feel quilty!

Hmm one of my best mates from high school is having a baby and shes throwing a baby shower next Sunday but I'm not sure what to get her. They haven't been able to tell the sex yet so I can't choose blue or pink things so I'm stuck. I've never had babies in the family or with close friends so I have no idea. I know everyone will probably get her a baby album or blanket but I really want to be different.

I hope the Shops are open on Monday 'cos thats the only day I have off till that Sunday. Who else here has a public holiday for the Queens Birthday?

its a little early but thanks anyway

Buy on of those books that they can out their happy memories of the baby in. Like pics - baby shower inviations - that kind off stuff.

Clothing wise go for light green! Can go for a girl AND a boy! Or give something for the mother - she will needs some presents herself! ;)

When I had my baby shower (I had 2 thrown for me), I couldn't get enough diapers. It's not a fancy gift, but it's super handy because brand new babies go through so many diapers and it was nice to have a diaper arsenal on hand rather than have to run out to the store. Baby clothes and booties and blankies are fun (I got tons of that stuff too) but the best gifts were the practical ones.

Another gift I received that I loved was this bouncy little baby seat. Not the swing, but a small gently springing seat I could easily move. I'd put my son in it and I could have him with me in the kitchen when I'd do the dishes, or take him with me to when I'd hop in the bath and not have to worry about leaving him in his crib (you'd be surprised how on edge moms can be when it comes to having to mommy bath time and not wanting to leave the baby alone in his crib).

Other good gifts that aren't fancy but very practical - bottles, bottle scrubbers, mylicon gas drops (that shit's expensive and mom dad and baby will need it for sure) lots of diaper rash cream - putting together a little care package with things baby needs are the best gifts in my opinion. Then again that's just me.

And Jeanie's right. Mom (and Dad) are often forgotten. Mom would probably like a gift certificate for a spa or hair cut so she can pamper herself because she's going to look and feel like crap after the baby comes. Or offer free babysitting and a gift certificate for a nice dinner out so mom and dad can have alone time and get away for a bit.

Aaaah The Who were awesome ! Great music and great show too ! The highlights for me were Baba O'Riley, Behind Blue Eyes, Won't get fooled again, My Generation, and that's about everything I know by them. The rest was great too ! If you have the ocasion to see those fully healthy Rock grandpas, do it !

Rock on. I saw the Who at Madison Square Garden -- the Quadrophenia (sp?) tour. Awesome. I don't toke, but I had a serious contact high just from breathing regularly. wow.

Rollerblading is incredibly fun. Turns out I can make it to work, a 15-20 minute drive, in 35 minutes, so on nice days I might start blading instead to save gas, save the environment, and get a little bit fitter.

I think I just set some new record for Lazy.

I got to work at 8, it was completely dead here, and I'm planning on staying up late with whirly, so I thought I'd take a little nap.

I just woke up 15 minutes ago.

I feel so funky.
