That's a shame, dude. I feel for you. I well know how depressing poor weather can be. At the moment I'd greatly enjoy some hot sunny weather, but I know if you don't have a choice it's not always fun.

I think that's maybe why I love warm weather: we only get really nice weather for a couple months in the summer, so I associate hot sunny days with having no school! Days spent rollerblading, at the beach, or drinking myself silly! :) And the beginning of the school year is nice, too, class is still fun in September, and all the short skirts are still out!

Cold, dreary weather is when I spend my time in class, learning microbiology and organic chemistry! Boo-urns!

What are you taking in university? You should consider coming up to University of Manitoba for a term on exchange! We've had a lot of Mexicans come up for a semester or two. One of my friends met his wife that way (she's from Aquascalientes, too!). We've had a few friends from San Luis Potosi, and other places, too.

www.umanitoba.ca Give it some consideration. Our Engineering Faculty just got a really nice, brand new building this year. Cost of living in Winnipeg is pretty low compared to most places in Canada and the USA, and if you want cold weather, you're looking at the right place. :D

is that an actual physical release or is it a podcast/stream mix?

by the way Thus Spake Zarathustra might be the remembered theme of 2001: A space odyssey, however its Gyorgy Ligeti's spine tingling tunes (Atmosphere,Requiem For Soprano,Lux Aeterna, and several more) that make the movie!

Stanley has used his music in alot of his films........one of my favorites of Ligeti's is the "eyes wide shut" theme. (Musica Ricercata II ).......such a frickin' creepy tune!!!!!!

It's an actual physical release, but I was forced to the p2p alternative by my CD store's lack of selection.

And I agree completely about the use of music in Kubrick's films. I was just happening to listen to JLC's mix for the first time and had an eyes pop out of my skull moment when he played Thus Spake Zarathustra. I think the atmosphere provided by the music is one of the things that helps suck me into Eyes Wide Shut.

Had a fucked up evening a few nights back.

Watched a film after two or three months, and the film blew me, and fuckin stopped three fourths into it!! DRATT!! Fucked up dvd, just RAPED my head, found the film so amazing!

Am talkin bout ChungKing Express. Yes, I finally decided to watch it, and tho i wasn't expecting much from it (since most tarantino endorsed recent films are misses), this one just went overboard and amazed me!

Fuckin beautiful film, SO tarantino and yet SO far apart, so simple and yet SO amazing.

I'd be visiting Habitat over the weekend and picking up the original dvd, as I haven't seen the whole film yet, and I hope the ending carries the movie thru, and I'll put up my typical 5 line review then, but the art freaks and the pscyho freaks, don't go looking for anything in this film, it was just a filler movie now kult HK director (he's presiding the jury at cannes 06 and won the best director in 97), - Kar Wai Wong made between two films to fulfil a legal contract - scripted it in 2 months flat.

Amazing screenplay, beautifully directed, BRILLIANT script. Very witty.

This 19fuckin94 movie (oh yes, u can't believe it if u see it!) is well worth a watch! And many jawdrops
