To sum up, how many tracks from Coachella 2009 made it to the upcoming album ? 2 ?
Escape Velocity is pretty much the same and the track after Sunglasses was reworked ?
Edit : Will the bonus track be only available on crapTunes ?

9. Don't Think: I'm really biting my lip on this one so I don't criticize it too hard. After all, they really gave me a treat with #8. So... After Sunglasses has been relegated to "bonus track" status. OK, not too bad. But it's worse than that! It's not good! It sounds nothing at all like "After Sunglasses"! It's so slow and... aagh! Bonus-track-y! Like it doesn't deserve to be an album track, which "After Sunglasses" certainly did! It's like they took my joke in the Coachella thread about it ending up as a dub reggae song and applied it to the song! Oh, well. Maybe it gets better later on. The point is...

I think I just took a dump in my pants! But damn, that's what happens when you miss the party and all you see is confetti and the party hats on the floor next to the opened birthday presents and missed out on a big piece of cake!
A really eye-opening review Champ, even though the samples were short but sweet.
BTW...I'll take a zip of those previews as well if possible!

It will probably make it as a B-Side. And it seems like the japanese edition has 9 tracks, so it could be "Don't think" or another bonus track.

Thanks. It's my favourite Chemical new material, so I'm looking forward to get a proper release and experience it live.

To clarify: After Sunglasses is, indeed, "Don't Think". It has not been reworked; it seems that any discrepancies between the Coachella version and the final studio version are the result of beatmatching, poor recording quality etc. I have to admit it's just as good as After Sunglasses (I guess the overwhelming awesomeness of the "Further" previews clouded my judgement when I made that post), even though I'm disappointed that it's only a bonus track. And if nobody else minds, I'll re-up the .zip file when I get home.

When you think about it, if you listen to Don't think and cowbell track on the youtube videos, and then to all the previews from Further, it seems clear that those tracks wouldn't exactly fit with the rest of the album.
I'm sure if we heard Flashback in a set before Surrender was released, we'd expect it to be on the album, and we would be disapointed that it's not.
Most of the Chems B-sides are quality but would be weird on the album.

First of all, I'm so excited that Don't Think is (sort of) on the album! I've probably been looking forward to it the most.
Horsepower: someone mentioned that it sounds like a modified "Animal Track"/"Problem-Question" I'LL TAKE IT!!!
