I want to go and see and share the experience that is The Chemical Brothers but where is the best venue in England? The Roundhouse is a nice place, but do they really work in a closed place like that? I imagine, and in my experience of open events, they're best suited to the outdoors.

it's just, given the lively debate we've had in the other thread - indoors vs outdoors.

I would honestly love to see them playing in Nimes where they are to play that amphitheatre, that MUST be massive, especially in lovely South France with warm evenings a nice nightly breeze. however, indoor gigs with all that lightshow, laser, visuals and what else have we seen... cannot see that working as impressive outdoors.
love is all.

This picture reminds me of the visuals they use on Leave Home !

Oh, and the best place for a chemical show is, indeed, my garden.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
And I will rape
Each one of you

Depends where they're booked to play really doesn't it

But srsly, I love the Roundhouse and Brixton Academy. The Roundhouse has a great atmosphere about it and the Academy is kind of the spiritual home for live Chems shows for me, plus it's probably the loudest venue I've been to :)

Loudest isn't always better. I'm sure they'll play both again, but which one should I choose?

Yes, I personally grow tomatoes, zucchinis, eggplants, salads, onions and radishes.

Never had any luck with carrots :(

if you grow tomatoes and/or cucumbers let a pretty girl walk through your garden all naked.

tomatoes will get a lovely red color and you are to reap the longest cucumbers in france!
love is all.

It's a lot better than being too quiet though. And, in my experience, the academy is usually engineered with a good balance of loudness and clarity. Every time I've seen the Chems there it's been superb.

And Leftfield there a few months ago was mind blowing... I can still feel the bass in my balls tbh :)

Nothing in England will compare to the Glasgow Barrowlands. Legendary, hot and sweaty. It's an old ballroom, and has a wood sprung floor which gives a great bounce.

Roundhouse is best I've been to in England, but I'm sure if I could make it to the Academy that would rank up there as well.

No offence but I'd rather not let someone from Germany tell me what I should do with my cucumbers, that's not safe nowadays... :x
