Stay tuned to our Astralwerks homepage for the launch of the brand new Chemical Brothers microsite! The microsite will include up-to-the-minute news on ?Push The Button,? details on the exciting Push The Button contest, audio snippets of the new album and the premiere of the brand new video for "Galvanize!" Are you ready to Push The Button in 2005?
"Galvanize" is exclusively available online, and STILL continues to be one of the most downloaded tracks on the iTunes Electronic genre hub! The track, featuring Q-tip on vocals, is the first single from ?Push The Button,? in stores January 25th.
Radio is BLASTING "Galvanize!" Indie 103 in Los Angeles, KNRK in Portland OR, KFMA in Tucson and WEQX in Albany have all started playing the song in regular rotation and are already receiving massive requests from listeners. Other stations like KROQ in LA, KROCK in NYC, The End in Seattle and Live 105 in San Francisco are also playing "Galvanize." Call your favorite station and demand your Chemical Brothers!
11 years and 8 million albums since bursting out of the UK?s underground club scene, The Chemical Brothers make their eagerly anticipated return. With their fifth studio album, ?Push The Button,? Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons demonstrate, that when it comes to supreme beat-based innovation, inspired collaboration and sheer sonic excellence, they are matchless. Tom and Ed are at their strongest when simply side-by-side on this album, the bedrock of which is made up of pioneering 21st century electronics, pushing not just their core sound, but electronic music to the next level.
The first single ?Galvanize? is a Middle-Eastern flavored juggernaut. Tim Burgess continues a run of sublime hook-ups with ?The Boxer.? The track ?Hold Tight London? features vocals from Anna Lynne from Trespassers Williams. Also, representing from the hip-hop world is vocalist Anwar Superstar on ?Left Right.?
From another end of the cultural spectrum comes Kele Okereke, from the rock-art outfit Bloc Party, who guests on ?Believe.? ?Close Your Eyes,? meanwhile, recalls the psychedelic soul of the Chemicals? past collaborations with Mercury Rev and The Flaming Lips; this time their creative partners are The Magic Numbers. Closing the album, ?Surface to Air? is arguably one of most defining tracks of The Chemical Brothers legacy thus far and suggests much for the future.
'Push the Button' will change the way you listen to music on January 25th! That's The Chemical Brothers in 2005: still bringing you the good stuff, and the new stuff, ahead of the pack. Defying expectations and reinvigorating music are what the brothers do best - and this album proves it yet again.

To the rest of you - I urge you to write to Astralwerks and tell them you're interested in doing this!! I chatted with an Astralwerks street rep outside a Primal Scream show a few years ago. She was just outside the venue handing out fliers, stickers, postcards and she looked like she was having a lot of fun. She got to go to great shows, meet people, hand out fliers, talk about music... I can sense this is right up your guys' alley!

Jeezuz titty fucking CHRIST! First Myspace now Second Life?
Second fucking Life? Oh dear god, Second Life is the lowest pit of scum on the entire internet. It's like a giant, graphical chat room for Furries and pedophiles. I shit you not, you can make a little kid sim, then go to an 'adoption agency' where an adult can take you home and fuck you senseless... Not to mention the beastiality and all the furries.
You guys need to educate yourselves in a hurry, in case these sticky fucking troglodytes decide to show up here.
Fortunately, the good people at Somethingawful.com have a series of articles documenting the disturbing shit they've seen in SL.
