Law school is kicking... My.... Fucking.... Ass.

@Ben_J--sorry to read about your bullshit.

Had a lovely, lovely date today with a classmate. Think I might be hanging out with her a lot more in the near future...

hang in there dude. If you like it you'll keep at it. And besides think of the awesome salary you'll be getting at the end of it..even just starting out....nice to know you found love though to keep you going poo boy.
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

That's wicked, Krisper! It's great you live in a place that allows you to go diving into this other world every few days. Last time I did any diving (wasn't diving at all, really) was snorkeling in Kauai. It's such an incredible escape.

That sucks you were turned away at the door - not only do you have to deal with the disappointment of not getting inside, being turned away is such a scene and bit embarrassing. Anyway. I hope for you the Stereoheroes incident is the only time something like that happens!

Poots, hang in there. You're a smart guy and determined so I know you'll make it with flying colors. Would you say it's the overall workload, or the change of pace from being out and about to back in a tightly structured school environment, or is it sensory overload from trying to absorb so much new material and surroundings all at once?

As for me, not much other than watching inchemswetrust's countdown in the Hollywood Bowl thread! Oh, and I'm going to see the Chemical Brothers next Sunday!! So excited!! But on my school front, I was getting a bit nervous about having missed the deadline to sign up for classes because I didn't get any email confirmations or phone calls. Then I thought, what if I made a typo in my email address and they can't contact me? What if I transposed the numbers on my phone number when filling out the online form? I decided to pick up the phone and make contact so I could, at the very least, confirm my info they had was correct. Apparently there is a greater demand for the Los Angeles courses than there are Orange County courses- LA courses fill up quickly, however not many people are aware the ad industry thrives and has opportunities in Orange County so it's a bit tougher to fill classes here. Which makes me a little nervous. But then I think about learning a trade and building a portfolio - my golden ticket out of my current job and onto greener pastures. That gets me excited and keeps me positive. I just hope and pray it's a go. I should be getting the initial email for sign up next week.

That sucks dude. Especially if he was playing your track. Which club was it? I remember when I was in Paris I had to drop 3 names in french to get in to the Social Club! I didnt think it would be possible cause I dont speak french and the amount of people that were trying to get in attacking this one door guy decked out in louis vuitton with a clipboard, was crazy. Crystal Castles were playing and a couple of other DJs. Madness.

The social club sucks for that. I hate it because of that, you can be refused even if you're on guestlist or if you have a ticket.

But it was at the Nouveau Casino, where usually, they let about anyone in.

In other news, the singer from Où est le swimming pool killed himself 2 days ago at Pukkelpop (he jumped from a pylon on a parking just after their concert). I don't know this band but it is sad.

That's so awesome, Ryno - you won't regret this decision one bit!! Spending 3 months in the UK when I was a young'un was one of the best things I've ever done, hands down. I recommend it to anyone and everyone that has a chance. So I am thrilled for you!! Please keep us posted on your adventures (and you will have many of those). ;)

I do like it, yes. I'm keeping up, but just barely. I feel like I'm treading water, and just when I think I've gotten a bit ahead, there's more reading to do. And the love makes it easier and harder. ;-) NO TIME FOR LOVE BUT IT'S STILL NECESSARY!!!

It's the overall workload!! I hope everything turns out great for you in your current pursuit. :) And, of course, there's Sunday to look forward to!!

@inchemwetrust: I'm jealous of your vacation.

@Whirls: YEYAH!!!

I'm in the law library right now. I'm finally getting internet set up at my apartment--AT&T had a huge delay for some reason in getting me set up.

I keep reading. It never stops. But I'm keeping up. :)

Damned amazing show this past weekend, great times. God damn.

Awesome! What classes are you taking?

I am at work, eyeing a window I want to dive out of. When you get time off to see the chems and come back, you realize your senses have been awoken and the mundane routine is a little more mundane than you thought. Just kinda slowly sucks the life out of you over months...

Alas I don't think insanity/release into hippie paradise is an option for most of us...

I will be taking an introductory course in art direction and copy writing - then as the courses progress I'll branch off to copy writing so I can start focusing on a book (portfolio).

Being able to go to school is such a relief for me, and the circumstances surrounding my life that are helping make this a reality... I'm so grateful. It's funny - buried somewhere in the pages of this thread from almost 5 years ago is me determined to get out of my low paying predicament and I was so thrilled when I landed the job I'm still currently in. It's strange how time flies, and how I'm at another cross roads.

And yeah, going back to the mundaneness of the daily rut after being taken on such a blissful journey is a hard pill to swallow. I have this week off to spend with my son, since he starts middle school next week. Big changes going on, but going back to work will be tough.

The Chemical concert in Paris, which was originally scheduled to take place in a holiday week, has been postponed to a period during which I have exams.

So what I need is a target I could send all my rage to. Thanks.

Violets are blue
And I will rape
