I don't think anyone should have had their posts deleted in this instance. I think that when it comes to new members, we should all bite our tongues a bit and give them a few chances before we write them off. If the question seemed stupid, then someone should've asked for clarification.

in that track, when the powerful 808 bass kicks in, there is a vocal sample of something....does anyone know what its saying?

Its saying 'It Dosent Matter' X-D

haha very funny!!!!!!

Wasnt intending on being funny, was just telling the guy what it said instead of beating round the bush, but sure, if you think its funny fair enough.

Doesn't mean they shouldn't be taken to task for it a bit though. If I say something that's bang out of order, I hope someone will politely have a word.

We really do need some new blood around here and (not really directed at you, man) is it really that hard to keep the funny comments directed to vets around here? I love taking the piss as much as anyone, but let's try and make ourselves look a little more inviting.

We don't really need new people, I mean, how many fucktards do you think my living room floor will hold?

kidding aside, I've seen forums where when you register, you have to include why you think you should be allowed in, and that's sent to an admin who then approves your request before you're allowed to post. being the elitist asshole that I am, I love that idea.

I believe that newbies should be given the benefit of the doubt until they totally prove beyond all belief that they are jackasses and then they get ridden out of town ala JUNKIE.

As they grow in confidence, their contributions will improve and they will become more of the community. 'stash, you're one of the few people I can recall who really became fully integrated in just a matter of days. Most of us who weren't here from the start kinda toe-poked around a bit to see if the waters were friendly. When they were, well, here we are.

But next time I'm over, I call sleeping on a couch. I've put in my share of floor time! X-D

No, we just make fun of them until they go away. X-D It's like the forum can only handle about 4 people online at a time, so we frighten everyone else off.

I still have codeine. X-D Well, I did have codeine.

I like that username though. Top marks.

(I used to be on a couple other forums back when I was a youngin', but they didn't have post counts, as they were more BBS-style. Probably up around the 15-20,000 posts as well. I was a fanatic back in the day. Now I just come on here when I'm procrastinating studying. Have two other forums I frequent, one of them about as much as I do here.)

the Quake 3 forums used to have one that was completely unmoderated and existed solely for flame wars and slagging each other off. It was cool tho', cuz you could argue about anything, from jesus to jellybeans, and the arguements always ended with 1v1 games of quake, then screen shots of the match were posted and thus the argument was decided.

Only forum I've ever seen where an online argument was actually resolved.

well, if you look back at the thread, no one was really dickish to him... the biggest dick would have been slipvin... would you like a moderator to delete slipvin's dick post, or would the whole forum go up in arms about it? It's a matter of senority or something. A post that would get deleted if it was made by a spambot (iggy, i'm looking at you and britney's vagina) is ok if it's done by a long time member? If JunkieXL was here being a dick to people, no one would care if it got deleted. But forum members are allowed? It's a terribly confusing double standard, and one that just enforces the idea that noobs are fair game.

Personally, I don't really care for new people, but I don't slag them off as hard as I would like, out of deference to whirly. My feeling is that if someone was cool, they would already be here.

Funny. You offended a n00b, and in some you are trying to make it seem like it's my fault.

Fuck you man.
