In order:
Interstella 5555 was about the first thing I thought of when I heard about this. Wouldn't a Chems equivalent be so cool? I hope the videos are similarly interconnected...
Thinking about it now, yeah, they never called it an EP. Phew. I can call it Chem7.
AWESOME.
Do you think it's "Watch the Skies" or some other great 11-minute track we haven't been privy to yet?

wow, great news! first, the new website fits perfectly into my iphone! dig the design as well.
for further: hope it's not going to be too arty (like harpoons) kind of a pure noise album (what i don't think).
i also can live with "only" 8 tracks, if they are full of chemical beats.
what i don't really get is the thing with their live tour (which is not really world tour right now): will there only be a further kind of show with only the tracks of further (special gigs). and later normal shows with star guitar, believe and stuff?!?!
i ask, because when i read the promo text for further, i see strong similarities to the concept of daft punk's discovery (anime video for each track)
BTW: further is a great title for a chems album!
wish: let there be a physical dvd/blue ray as well in 5.1 surround sound

Great news but I'm a bit confused.
This will not be a cd release but a dvd release. Not 8 songs but 8 films with Chems scoring.
The Roundhouse gigs will be the only gigs showing the films before the release or will those 4 gigs be the only screening of the films.
Can someone make me understand more clearly?
It all sounds very cool but I don't really get it. Can't wait til I have it to watch it/hear it.

This is so exciting,
i'm in australia, and last night i was up at midnight refreshing this forum, it was apparently like... 1pm in england, but no news!!!!
i dragged my arse out of bed @ 8 am this morning and i've never been so excited!
the bio for "Further" reads nicely, i'm so excited about it, and i'm so happy to see Tom and Ed doing exactly what THEY want to do. not that they haven't in the past, but they have always talked about wanting to do music for film, i guess this is a start.
8 tracks to me suggests that, yeah, they will probably all be long, but for some reason, i get the idea there will be more soundscapes, songs which are more progressive, and more of a one song made up of eight parts feel to the album.
i think this is probably down to Tom's nod toward his "pychtronic mix" being sort of an idea of what kind of a place they are in at the moment, whats inspiring them etc.
howevs, i like to overthink things, and we just wont know until Further is released.
but i am buzzing, haven't felt this good since 2007 when they announced WATN, but i tihnk i'm more excited this time because they are doing something a little more different. this will have a massive impact.

This is just amazing. I'm still in shock and awe here. I honestly don't know how to respond other than to say how ridiculously excited I am!
New music. A DVD. A concert to look forward to. A revamped forum to explore.
And now the painful excruciating wait til June 7!

"Further" is the culmination of nearly two decades of psychedelic exploration!"
I was already sold when I read that sentence! Eight beefy tracks, an SE DVD (hopefully a Blu-Ray soon)
Thursday is so long...but June is way to long!
NYC on Sept 4! Didn't know bout that!
I think i'm gonna be up all night for this. Gotta make up for all my lost posts!
Love the music and vid player for those who missed it!
@Tom and Ed
Thank you!

Nice signature in chem!
As for Erol. Saw him in October last year. I definitely recommend seeing one of his sets. I think he was doing his disco 3000 tour when i saw him haha.
