This is the progress Ive made today. You should be proud I didnt just do a dubstep remix since the original song is at 140 bpm

The first 3 minutes are what is important since I just have the last 2 laid out to fill in later.
Im sleepy

Not that my opinion means anything, and I am not a big fan of Chems remixes, but that is wonderful. I had to listen to it twice cause I sorta drifted off with it and when it finished I was stunned.

@AG: good, but a bit monotonous. it really needs a buildup + climax somewhere in the middle i think i think it has potential to become a great track!
@RS: Nice ableton project man! i use ableton a lot these days. don't feel offended by my note about that plugin. it doesn't matter to me how you archieve a certain effect. you chose the time consuming way, nothing less than respect for that! everybody has its own ways of transferring their creativity into a track, i need tools and plug ins most of the time but it seems to me that you can make magic happen with just the scissors tool .
My remix of Swoon is nearly finished, it needs some tweaking and a couple of listens on different monitors.

Eis-T: No offense about the plug-in, for sure. Like you I feel that however you arrive at a desired result is all good. My way works better for me so far because I have more control and options at any moment than a plug-in might allow. Plus, I'm not sure that any plug-in would produce results like I got. I should experiment with them someday. Heck, I'm more offended that you misspelled my name. haha!
androidg: Really good sounding mix, so far. It will be cool to hear how it develops. Nice to have you as a part of this.

I think its a cool remix, the intro is just so wierd
It does remind me a bit of Mr Oizo's experimental tracks, which is a good thing.
due to software problems i am not able to finish my mix soon . I have a work in progress version from a week back that gives a good impression but contains some mistakes. the climax of the track isn't nearly as climactic as the buildup in this version... soundcloud link

Cheers guys for the postive feedback on this one.
Hiya RS, long time no see.
Dubstep?
Yes, I am massively inspired by Mr Ozio, though I'm suprised you could hear that from this remix. there's a slight nod towards FSOL in this, especially in the arrangement, or lack of.
I don't think I quite nailed it (always the perfectionist), but I'm happy with the results.
I picked Escape Velocity having not listened to the album fully, probably because it sounded like the less obvious of the easy options, and I liked the Who sample.
Are we allowed to do more than one?, If so, which one is nobody doing/wouldn't touch with a barge pole?
I like a challenge.
