That one's still up for debate.
My personal take is:
"We are the night times, we have the right highs"

rofl...
you guys... droping 500 diffrent lines for one song...
it's more like
"WE ARE THE NIGHT"
and thats all that matters, so listen to the music, dont sing along, because your not ali, and you didnt write the music, so why sing... such a white "air guitar" style thing to do, try and sing along... lol
I'm guilty as well, but it's funny... look in the mirror and sing "The Test" and tell me you dont feel odd...

yo, jack's...
what I'm trying to say is, lyrical confishion shoul not lead to musical frustration. Here people are drilling lyrics.. when in all reality it's not all written down, so that each individual can interpret it diffrently.
It's like watching a 3d movie from diffrent sides of the screen.
???

i don't know if that was the goal all this while, but it was definitely fun to take pains (read lots of fun listens over a long enough timeline) and crack the vocals, it's a good feeling. sometimes getting corrected after years.
so is it jacket folks? :D

I won't be reading any fancy lyrics, but I hear "We are the night"
and then "We are the night skies, we are the bright lights" and randomly it sounds like they are changed just slightly... "have" replaces "are" for the bright lights in random places... Sometimes Bright skies and Night lights...

my take on WATN.
We are the night tghin'
so basically night switched backwards after it's first saying. but I'm crazy when it comes to
voca-bu-ary

Have you ever seen the tv commercial where the guy sings "pour some shook up ramen" instead of "pour some sugar on me"? I think it's important to know the lyrics if they a meant to be known. Although "Yellow Ledbetter" is testament to the fact that some lyrics are meant to be interprative. I saw a post on a lyrics site that had the last line in "the pills won't help you know" as "once you cry". This makes a real difference in the song to me.
